We are lucky to have a modern, well-resourced library at Cygnet Primary School that is a great hub for all of our reading and literacy work with space for other activities. 💜 Wear It Purple Day – Friday 28 August 💜

Tomorrow, students and staff are invited to wear something purple to school as we celebrate Wear It Purple Day.

This special day encourages us to foster kindness, respect, inclusion, and a sense of belonging for everyone in our community. By wearing purple, we show our support for creating safe and welcoming environments where every person feels valued and accepted.

We look forward to seeing a sea of purple around Cygnet Primary School tomorrow! 💜

Her Court is coming to Cygnet Primary School! 🏀 ❤️

This term, we’re excited to be part of Basketball Tasmania’s Her Court initiative, creating a fun and welcoming space for girls to be active, connected and confident though basketball each week.

Sessions will run for girls in Years 3-6 at Recess on Wednesdays, with activities and games led by our amazing Her Court Ambassador, Charlotte, and student leaders.

Her Court is about increasing girls’ access and belonging in sport in everyday spaces, supporting them to learn new skills, build confidence, and discover a lifelong love of being active.

We’d love you to encourage your daughter to come along and give it a go. We can’t wait to see the girls on the court this term! ❤️
