Our second workshop is now open for tickets. Don’t forget to check out the one scheduled for the 12th November too - this coming Sunday.

The rescheduled workshop where we will teach you our Elders knowledge on how they used Echidna’s in their crafts, the importance of honouring animals and their relationship to country; and give you the opportunity to complete a unique piece of art just in time to gift to a loved one for Christmas.

This workshop will enhance and deepen your connection to country & culture.

Danny is a great facilitator of the arts; and so if you have already made a throwing stick and would like to return to decorate it you will certainly have a wonderful piece of art to keep!

Not yet attended on of these unique workshops? Come along and learn about some of the lesser known aspects of Tasmanian Aboriginal Culture.

Aboriginal Culture Club - Decorative Tool Finishing; New crafting or throwing sticks or digging sticks.

It is with regret that this afternoon we have postponed this coming Sunday's 22nd October workshop due to the forecast weather.

Our participants comfort and wellbeing, and looking after the land we are on is of utmost importance to us and 40-60mm of rain is not good for anyone!

For those who have paid we have offered an alternative date of 5th November 2023, and reserved your tickets to purchase first, and the remaining tickets will be opened up shortly.

We thank you for your understanding, and hope you keep warm and dry this weekend.

Today wraps up our first ever school holiday program, and words can not convey how full our hearts are.

Sun, fire, swift parrots. Stories that connect us to country, ourselves & each other.

We got this text message this evening, and it sums it up for us!

'Thank you so so much for all you shared and the wonderful company. Our hearts and souls are so full, the kids are so happy…’

Absolutely fantastic day on country, sharing and connecting. Then top the day off with some lovely fire cooked wallaby tails which were a tasty hit with many Aboriginal Culture Club participants.

Again a big respectful thankyou to Joel and marian for their incredible work commitment, also to Laura marloo and Brad for sharing with all of us your beautiful property.

What a fabulous day in a wonderful part of the world. The sun was shining, the birds were out.

Water carriers were made and are now sitting safely on people’s shelves drying. Participants experimented with Echidna quills (retrieved from deceased Echidnas) to puncture their carriers, and the leather hole punch.

The spears were heat treated, oiled, shaped, heat treated oiled, shaped repeat 😃 and then everyone had a turn at a handmade target.

Lots of fun was had, connection to country and each other were made.

We can’t wait for the first day of our sold out school holiday program!

Thankyou to all who came to learn and share and connected.

Looking forward to another exciting (and sold out!) Culture Club meeting; participants will make a spear and have a go at using it once it's been heat treated and rendered, shaped using traditional methods, while our women participants will be making traditional water carriers.

Weather is looking to be fantastic, and we are are on the way to setting up for the day.

See you all soon!
