🐞 Beetle Biscuit Magic: K/1 Gets Creative with AA Milne! 🍪

Our K/1 students loved bringing AA Milne’s poem "Forgiven" to life by decorating their very own beetle biscuits on Thursday! From icing to lollies, they had a blast creating—and then writing step-by-step about “How to Make Beetle Biscuits.” Sweet learning and tasty treats all in one!

MAKING MATHS MAGICAL IN Yr 2/3

Students in 2/3 have been building their multiplication and division skills through hands-on games and plenty of mathematical thinking!

Students challenged each other to an array battle, using arrays to represent multiplication facts, while developing their understanding of equal groups and number relationships.

We also had dice challenges, where students used various dice to create multiplication and division number sentences involving 10,100 and 1000. This was a great way to practise recognising patterns and applying our place value knowledge.

It was fantastic to see students working collaboratively, explaining their thinking and having fun while strengthening their maths skills!

📚✨ 'STEPPING BACK IN TIME' for EDUCATION WEEK! ✨📚

What a fantastic day at our school’s Open Day celebrating not only Education Week but also the school's 150th anniversary! Students and staff embraced the spirit of the past by dressing in period character and bringing history to life with role-play, led by our wonderfully strict (but fun!) staff.

Our students loved trying their hand at old-style script writing with ink pens and enjoyed playing traditional sports in the sunny afternoon. It was a joy to see their enthusiasm for these timeless activities!

A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us — it was a privilege to share the day with you, complete with delicious scones, soup, and fresh bread. What a perfect way to connect across generations and celebrate our rich history together.

Here’s to many more years of learning, community, and fun!
