We loved celebrating Book Week within our community! 📚

At the Crystal Brook Library, children enjoyed listening to a story and taking part in a craft activity. On Wednesday, we continued the celebrations at Roseview, sharing favourite books with our Roseview friends and having our faces and arms painted. 🎨

A special thank you to ArtVenture Time for the care and time spent bringing some of our children’s favourite characters to life.

On Wednesday 9th September, our kindy children will walk 4.5km from Bowman Park to Crystal Brook. 👟🌳

Our walk is escorted by members of South Australia Police, and we sincerely thank them for their ongoing support and participation each year. 🚔

Preparations are well underway! Children have designed their own t-shirts, shared the stories behind their designs and begun tie-dyeing. 🌈 They’ve also helped our Roseview friends design their shirts, ready to tie-dye together next week.

At Bush Kindy, we’ve been practising longer walks, building our endurance, persistence and confidence as we prepare for the 4.5km journey. Along the way, children are exploring Country and place, distance, measurement, spatial awareness, maps and symbols. We’ve also been estimating how long/far the walk may take and wondering how our bodies might feel along the way!

Our Walkathon is also a wonderful fundraiser for our kindy, and we sincerely thank our families and community for generously sponsoring our children as they take part. ❤️

It’s always such a fun morning, and we can’t wait to walk together on Nukunu Country! 🌿

If you previously submitted an Expression of Interest to purchase a copy, your invoice will be emailed on Friday, 14th August. Payment of this invoice will secure your pre-order.

🥣 Completed the online order form recently?
If you have completed our online pre-order form within the last day or so, please allow up to one week for your invoice to be generated and emailed to you. Your order has not been missed – there is simply a little processing time involved before the invoice reaches your inbox.

After two years of cooking, storytelling, photographing, creating and connecting, we are incredibly proud to introduce The Memory Kitchen - a beautiful 278-page hardcover intergenerational community cookbook created by Crystal Brook Kindergarten. 💙

More than 155 cherished recipes from 95 contributors. Countless stories, photographs, illustrations and memories.

The Memory Kitchen celebrates the people, food, traditions and connections that make Crystal Brook and our surrounding communities so special. Recipes have been generously shared by local families, Roseview residents, past and present community members and friends of Crystal Brook - each with a story, memory or connection of its own.

Throughout its pages, you’ll find much more than recipes. You’ll discover family traditions passed from one generation to the next, familiar faces and places, beautiful professional photography, children’s artwork and stories that capture a little piece of our community to keep for generations to come.

Is your child ready to begin their preschool journey at Crystal Brook Kindergarten? 🌱

✨ Beginning-of-year intake: Children turning four between 1 November and 30 April

✨ Mid-year intake: Children turning four between 1 May and 31 October

🌟 Three-year-old preschool: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children who are in care or have previously been in care, may be eligible to access preschool from three years of age.
