Croydon Gums Kindergarten

Croydon Gums Kindergarten Open Day is on Saturday 2nd May 10am-12pm.

Enrolments for 3 and 4 year old kindergarten in 2027 are open NOW via www.mika.org.au

We still have vacancies in our 4 year old groups for THIS YEAR too!

Toast Station is back for the 4 year old groups for 2026. The 3 year olds will wait just a few more weeks.

Today we spoke with the children about why we have toast station.

They all thought it was because you might be extra hungry but we also discussed how they can practice holding a knife and spreading honey, jam and(🤢)/or vegemite and practice cutting the toast.

We also said it’s a nice way to slow down our bodies and reset for the day after a busy morning and a great chance to play pretend cafes and have big chats with our friends.

Sometimes toast is more than just cooked bread.

A HUGE thank you to Bakers Delight Kilsyth for donating 2 loaves to our toast station every week.

Yesterday our 4 year old group had a visit from Anna (the human) and Bonnie (the dog). We learned about being safe around dogs and knowing what to do if an angry dog approaches you. We took turns of lining up to pat Bonnie.

We still have vacancies in our 4 year old groups but our 3 year old group is currently full.

Hello families in Croydon!

We’ve had a lovely couple of days getting to know some of the new children and families coming to Croydon Gums this year.

We have some availability in our 3 year old group which attends Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30-4:00 as well as our 4 year old group that attends Monday and Friday from 8:30-4:00.

Good luck to all of our past children and their families with the new school year.

Hello 2024 families!

We have an OPTIONAL kinder uniform if you are interested and are already starting to think about next year.

We will provide your child with a bucket hat at the start of the year and these will stay at kinder (except for washing).

2024 Kinder Families please take note of the following dates.

3 year old kinder:
Thursday 1 February
Small group interviews and orientation
Tuesday 6 February
3 groups of 10 attending for short sessions
Thursday 8 February
Normal full sessions commence

4 year old kinder:
Orientation and introduction sessions from Wednesday 31 January
Full sessions commence on Wednesday 7 February.

The weather is looking good for this Friday! We are looking forward to seeing all our kinder families for a fun night at the miniature trains!

We have our Open Day coming up on the 14th of May, we would love to see you there in preparation for the 2023 enrolment process!

The countdown is on! Looking forward to the miniature trains at 5pm, lets hope the rain stays away!
