Deutschstunde is proud to offer the German Language Diploma (Deutsche Sprachdiplom) in Australia. Highly differentiated courses are offered to children from preschool to high school age. We are presently running a variety of different classes on Mondays and Tuesdays commensurate to student’s level of skill and age group, both as face-to-face and online classes. We are proud to be offering the Deut

sche Sprachdiplom (DSDI and DSDII) for advanced teenagers and young adults. Our students are split into various groups based on their age as well as their command of the German language. from German speaking families who live in Australia and whose focus is on improved writing and reading, will be grouped together. Children who only have little (e.g. through one German parent or grandparent) or no exposure to German will be grouped together. Classes sizes are kept small to ensure an intensive learning environment. All classes are taught by qualified German teachers.

Deutsche Sprachdiplom DSD I Exam Day at Deutschstunde!
Today, 27 of our students, including several who travelled all the way from rural NSW and even Queensland, are sitting their DSDI written exams. The exam room is filled with deep concentration, steady determination and plenty of big smiles.

We’re incredibly proud of how committed, prepared, and positive our students are throughout this important milestone. Their hard work shows and their enthusiasm is contagious.

Good luck to our DSDII students today! The "Schriftliche Kommunikation" part of this tough exam has just started at Deutschstunde.

Don't forget to structure your argument: Keep your Schriftlicher Ausdruck clear, logical and well-connected with strong transitions.

Viel Erfolg an alle DSDII Prüflinge weltweit heute, ungefähr 30000 Schülerinnen und Schüler schreiben heute die gleiche DSDII Prüfung, um damit den entsprechenden Deutschnachweis für ein Studium in Deutschland zu erlangen.

Our Year 5 students spent their class in a focused "Schreibkonferenz", exchanging constructive feedback on their fantasy stories in German and refining their ideas with care. Each discussion circle was filled with thoughtful reading, attentive listening, and purposeful collaboration. Moments like these show how deeply our students engage with the writing process and how peer review strengthens both skill and confidence.

After Monday’s trial DSD I exams, our students are well‑equipped and ready for next week’s challenging Deutsche Sprachdiplom exams.

The exam papers for the 2026 Deutsche Sprachdiplom have arrived! In three weeks, our students will sit the annual DSDI and DSDII exams. Keep your fingers crossed!
