🌱 Year 1 Sustainability Rotations Day! ♻️

Our Year 1 students had a fantastic day learning about sustainability through hands-on fun! 💚

They created scrap paper art, made bird feeders, grass heads, rock monsters, and enjoyed the sunshine while hunting and building with recycled materials.

A wonderful day of creativity, teamwork and caring for our environment! 🌏

🎉 What a night! 🎉

Our annual Trivia Night was an absolute cracker, with 242 people coming together for an evening of fun, laughter and a little healthy competition! 🧠🏆

Thanks to the incredible support of our school community, we are thrilled to announce that the night raised an astonishing $10,746.10! 🤩👏

A huge shout-out goes to our amazing CHAPS team, who put in countless hours behind the scenes to organise such a successful event. Your hard work and dedication helped create a memorable night for everyone involved! 💙

And of course, a massive thank you to our generous sponsors and donors for their incredible contributions and support. We truly appreciate your generosity and the role you played in making the night such a success.

Senior Write a Book in a Day 📕

As part of our High Ability Writing Program, group of dedicated Year 5 and 6 writers spent the day drafting, publishing, illustrating and publishing their very own book this week!

The ambitious project was part of a writing competition run by the Kids’ Cancer Project, to raise much-needed funds for children with cancer. While we eagerly await the results announced later this year, all students walk away feeling inspired, having improved their writing and teamwork skills, and supporting an important cause.

Year 5 Excursion Adventure! 🏛️📚

This week, our Year 5 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to the State Library of Victoria and the Old Melbourne Gaol.

At the State Library, students explored one of Australia's most iconic learning spaces, discovering fascinating collections and learning about the importance of preserving our history and knowledge.

The visit to the Old Melbourne Gaol brought history to life as students stepped back in time to explore what life was like in one of Melbourne's oldest prisons. They learned about famous historical figures, the justice system of the past, and how life has changed over time.

Throughout the day, our students demonstrated excellent curiosity, respectful behaviour, and a willingness to engage with new learning experiences. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect our classroom learning with Victoria's rich history and heritage.

A big thank you to our staff and parent helpers for making the day such a success!
