🥋👕 STREET CLOTHES FIGHTER 👕

One night. One mat. One great cause.

On Friday 14 August, we're turning Open Mat into something a little different.

Throw on your best op-shop fit (or whatever you've got at home), leave the gi behind, and join us for a night of rolling, games, laughs, and giving back. Whether you're a regular or it's your first Open Mat, everyone's welcome.

💙 Instead of the usual Open Mat, our entry fee will be a cash donation to . Bring some cash that folds—$5, $10, $20 or whatever you can spare—with 100% of donations going directly to the charity.

We'll roll a few rounds, run some fun games, then head out for dinner and drinks afterwards for anyone who's keen.

🎮 Dress Code

✅ T-shirts, jumpers, flannos, jackets, jeans, chinos, shorts, trackies
✅ Op-shop clothes encouraged (support charity twice!)
❌ No zips, jewellery, belts, hood strings, hard trims, or anything that could be unsafe on the mats.

It’s Year Two for Modern Combat Academy. Thanks to our community for their support. This entire venture relies on quality people being part of a bigger picture.

Instead of a party 🎉 we have revamped the small mat with a whole new look.

New mats, wider space and less clutter. We hope it improves the experience at the gym :)

Many people start for fitness or self defence and find something larger, something we can’t show in one week or even one month.

It’s intangible and can only be experienced over time and with dedication, trust in your training partners and a constant desire to rebuild oneself week after week.
