2026 Port Hacking Zone Sports Presentation

Congratulations to our students and teams who were recognised for their sports achievement at zone level this year.

Six students were recognised as Age Champions across Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country. Six teams were Port Hacking Zone premiers while ten students were awarded Best and Fairest.

Another huge congratulations is in order for Alex of Year 10, whose short film Elsewhere has been selected as one of just 15 short films across NSW to be showcased at the CAPture Film Festival.

Alex’s film will premiere on the big screen following a red-carpet event at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS), located in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter, on 11 November.

We are incredibly proud of Alex and can’t wait to see her work celebrated on the big screen. A link to livestream the film on the night will be shared closer to the event, with more information to come. Stay tuned!

Our Year 9 Bronze Duke of Ed students had an awesome time tackling the Southern Headlands Walk from Narrawallee to Burrill Lake! From walking along beautiful beaches and coastal tracks to camping overnight at Ulladulla, students enjoyed plenty of laughs, challenges and memorable moments along the way. For many, it was a chance to push themselves, spend time outdoors with friends and discover what they could achieve together. A fantastic adventure for our students!
Big thank you to Mr Maloney, Ms Farrugia and Ms Barber for guiding on this adventure !

3RD IN AUSTRALIA!

What a week for Levii at the Australian National Junior Motocross Championships in Shepparton!
Competing on both his 65cc and 85cc bikes, Levii qualified 2nd on his 65cc and 5th on his 85cc, putting himself in a fantastic position heading into the finals.

Friday brought torrential rain and flooded tracks, and unfortunately, an engine failure in his final 65cc race forced him out of the race.

Despite this setback, Levii secured an incredible 3rd place overall in Australia in the 65cc championship, out of a field of approximately 70 riders! He also finished an impressive 9th overall in the 85cc championship.

We couldn't be prouder of his determination, resilience and sportsmanship. These results are a reflection of the hard work, dedication and passion he puts into motocross.

A huge congratulations to Alex of Year 10, whose short film 'Elsewhere' has been selected to be screened at the State Drama Festival across two nights on the 21st and 22nd of October at the Seymour Centre.

This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of Alex’s creativity, hard work and talent as a young filmmaker. We are incredibly proud to see her work recognised at a state level and look forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with her.

On Tuesday, our Year 12 students will sit their first HSC exam, with every student beginning this final chapter with English.There’s been a lot of hard work and preparation to get to this point, and now it’s time to give it your best. NRL PREMIERS!

A huge congratulations to former Cronulla High School captain Tait Barnes on becoming a NRL premiership winning assistant coach with the Sydney Roosters!

Tait is a highly dedicated coach, even giving up his spare time in his busy schedule to come back and help coach our rugby league students at Cronulla High School.

Whether you’re a Roosters fan or not, everyone here at Cronulla High is very proud of Tait’s achievement!
