Today our Year 10 classes were privileged to be able to hear from some current college students about their transitions to Newstead College and Launceston College (Official)! 👨‍🎓

Charli, Neo, Alex and Willow talked about their experiences in their pre-tertiary and non-pre-tertiary classes, including what helped them choose a college and tips they have for students who might be heading to these schools next year. It was wonderful to hear how some of our graduates have found the experience. Thank you so much to all of you for visiting! 👏🏻

Our Year 2-3 class had a wonderful time today, exploring the Hagley Farm School Agriculture Learning Centre (ALC) and their history area.

The Kindergarten class have been learning about animals that lay eggs! 🥚

Their recent learning experiences have ranged from hatching their own chickens in the incubator to creating paper mache animals, and lots more in between!

They have engaged so well, learned a lot, and had lots of fun! 🐥

It was terrific to host almost 150 students from Bracknell, Longford, Perth and Cressy as part of our annual Year 5-6 Challenge Day experience.

Students collaborated, learned some new skills and worked alongside our Cressy student leaders and staff throughout the day.

Experiences included gym games, STEM robotics, fitness, sheep handling and shearing, music, quizzes, art, food tech and MDT!

It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying their time with us and building connections.

We are looking forward to our Orientation Day and supported transition visits later in the year as we get ready for 2027!

Yesterday our high school students were visited by Lucy and Seb from headspace! They ran wonderful sessions on Mental Health, where they guided students through information about self-care and the organisations that can help us look after ourselves. 🧠

Topics included reflecting on how we juggle everything in life and how we can call in others for help—shown by playing “keepy-uppy”—and also talking about the things that fill our bucket to overwhelm us, and the activities that might form a “tap” to release them.🎈🪣🚰

Thank you so much to Lucy, Seb, and all the teachers and support staff who made these important sessions possible! 👏🏻
