Crescent Head Community Pre-school Crescent Head Community Pre-school was established in 1985 and is a community based, managed and owned organisation.

Crescent Head Community Pre-School is a community based service. Our service caters for children who are 3 to 5 years old. CHCPS is open four (4) days a week, closed on Wednesdays.

Final call for our 2027 waitlist for Preschool.

Enrolment in 2027 will be only 2 days per week. Children of families who are seeking a place at the service will be given Priority of Access in accordance with the guidelines that have been established by the NSW Department of Education

Currently our Pre-School will give equal priority of access to:
* Children who are turning 5 in 2027
* Children at least 4 years old on or before 31st July 2027 (Year Before School)
* Children who are at least 3 years old on or before 31st July in that year and are:
- Children from low income
- Children with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds
- Children with English language needs
- Children with disabilities or additional needs
- Children who are at risk of significant harm (from a child protection perspective)

We must give priority to the groups outlined above before any other groups, including any other 3-year-olds.

Crescent Head Community Preschool is looking to facilitate the Circle of Security Parenting program. It is a commitment of 10 sessions. We are currently in the gathering expressions of interest phase. The sessions would be held after hours in the evenings.

COURSE INFORMATION
At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

Learning Objectives of the Program:
• Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs
• Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
• Enhance the development of your child's self esteem
• Honor your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure

Our 2027 waitlist for Preschool is open. We will be reviewing our waitlist form earlier this year as we are trialling a new digital system.
