Get to know Lucinda Tassone, the Arts student behind the program artwork for the Arts Career Module 😎

🎭What's a common misconception about an Arts student?
" I find art students are often perceived as β€˜relaxed’ and β€˜unserious’. In my experience, I think arts students [are both] stressed and driven because of their acute awareness of our reality. When we pursue an Arts degree, the stakes are high. We are often given more agency than other degrees, which when channelled successfully, can provide us with great purpose and direction in our studies."

πŸ‘€ Peek into the creative mind of Lucinda Tassone, our WIL student who created the program artwork for the Arts Career Module.

Drawing inspiration from the surreal imagery of Max Ernst and Salvador DalΓ, the piece explores themes of anticipation, birth, and growth. Central to the work is a golden egg motif that manifests this journey, inspired by the 'Golden Egg' artwork by UWA alumnus, Shaun Tan.

'The Arts Career Module is an educational resource enabling students to form a deeper understanding of their skills...the [artwork] reflects a nurturing and inspiring embrace of the opportunities available to all arts students.'
- Lucinda T.
