We are thrilled to celebrate one of our graduates from the Class of 2025, Giorgio Avgerinos, who has donated a copy of his recently published book to our library collection.

Giorgio was an English Extension 2 student, and he undertook the challenge of writing a 5,000-word major work, an experience that provided the impetus for what would eventually become his first novel. Inspired by the distinctive works of Franz Kafka, he continued to develop his ideas after graduation, transforming his short story writing into a published book.

He is already hard at work on his next book, and we look forward to following his journey as an emerging author.

Congratulations Giorgio, on this achievement and thank for sharing your work with our school library. We can't wait to see what comes next!

Snow Camp has always been a highlight of life at St Paul’s. Recently, our Year 11 students returned from an unforgettable week in the snow. Looking back to 2007, these Year 10 students were enjoying the same St Paul’s tradition.

ISP REUNION // It was wonderful to welcome back former students and staff of St Paul's as they reunited to reconnect and celebrate their shared history!

We also celebrated the launch of Ruby Li's A Cloud Settled in the Southern Hemisphere. It was a pleasure to hear Dr John Collier and Mr Ian Wake reflect on both the International Student Programme and Ruby's work, before Ruby shared insights into her writing and journey.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special occasion and helped make the reunion such a memorable celebration.

Today we welcomed all our students back for Term 3. A special highlight of the first day was the induction of our 2026/2027 Senior Leadership Team.

As we celebrate the leaders of today, we're taking a look back to 2010, when we welcomed a new generation of student leaders who helped shape our school community.

VALE // Terry Hopkins

09.11.1961 - 08.05.2026

Terry Hopkins was one of the original staff of the Junior School when it commenced in 1993. He was the Primary Coordinator and was also acting Head of Junior School in 2001.

For over 10 years he was a dynamic classroom teacher who encouraged his students to enjoy learning and to take responsibility for their decisions and actions.

His Year 6 mornings began with devotions, songs of praise, bible readings and a short conversation on the text. This was followed by student questions and discussions.

Sport was one of Terry's pleasures and he spent many hours playing inventive games on the oval, hockey both at PSSA and his school team in the night competition at U.W.S. He took the advanced swimming group for summer sport and organised school and HICES carnivals.

Terry was instrumental in planning all the activities for the Year 6 camps, trips and end of year farewell.

The excellence of the musical productions over the years were due to his ability to realise both students' and staff's many talents. Many students have since pursued careers in this field.

Staff development, curriculum augmentation and innovative technology expansion were all an extensive part of Terry's contribution throughout the Junior School.
Terry was an engaging, generous and devoted educator, colleague and friend.
He was a faithful, prayerful and Christ like confidant who offered steadfast loyalty and Godly encouragement.

We are praying for God's peace and comfort for his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his sister, Mrs Wendy Circosta, who was also a Junior School teacher.
