✨ 2008 Flashback ✨

What a year it was…

Barack Obama became President, Beijing hosted the Olympics, The Dark Knight hit cinemas, and the world faced a global financial crisis.

But here at the leading school in the district, it was business as usual great learning opportunities, lifelong friendships, inspiring teachers, and new discoveries every single day.

Looking back, 2008 gave us memories that still make us smile today.

Our former 2003 School Captain and College Dux reflected warmly on his time at the college, sharing fond memories, lifelong lessons, and the deep connection he still feels to his old school.
His story is a wonderful reminder of the lasting impact our college community has had across generations.

Here’s to 50 years of pride, achievement, and community at Cranbourne Secondary College!

We caught up with Sadaf from the Class of 2025, who showed us to the new State Library Station. Sadaf was really happy to see some familiar faces from Cranbourne.

This was an emotional moment for all of us when former student Shan Aguilera asked to return to the Art room she once loved to search for her old folio, which for many years has been used as an exemplar by our Art department.

We were all struck by the fondness she still holds for her school, her artwork, and the teachers who once guided and supported her creative journey. Moments like these remind us of the lasting impact that strong connections, encouragement, and learning experiences can have on our students long after they leave Cranbourne Secondary College.

As Cranbourne Secondary College celebrates its 50th Anniversary this October, we are pleased to support the reunion being organised for the school’s original students and teachers on Saturday 24th October.

This special gathering will bring together those who were part of the school from its opening in 1976, along with students and staff who joined during those early years.

We encourage our community to help spread the word so as many foundation members as possible can reconnect and celebrate this important milestone together.

Please note: the reunion event on 24th October is independently organised and separate to the College’s official 50th Anniversary celebration being held on Thursday 22nd October.

Further details and ticket information for the reunion will be shared by the organisers soon.

We look forward to celebrating 50 years of Cranbourne Secondary College with our entire community this October.
