These little legends have completed 100 days of school, that's worth celebrating!

So many milestones met, new routines, high learning expectations, friendships and gaining more independence.

We are so proud of each and every one of them doing their best at school.

Sometimes the greatest lessons come from what we almost walk past.

At first glance, the Homeless Jesus sculpture looks like someone sleeping on a park bench. It is only when you notice the wounds on the feet that you realise it is Jesus. It reminds us of his words:

"Whatever you did for one of the least of these... you did for me." (Matthew 25:40)

At St Thomas the Apostle, we encourage our students to look beyond first impressions, avoid assumptions and recognise the dignity and worth of every person. Through simple acts of kindness, inclusion and compassion, we bring our school motto, My Lord and My God, to life each day.

May we continue to help our children see others with open hearts, ensuring everyone feels seen, valued and loved. 💚

Thank you, St Thomas families! 💜

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful school community for your incredible generosity in supporting Project Compassion this Lent. We raised over a thousand dollars!

Every donation, no matter the size, helps Caritas Australia empower vulnerable people around the world to build brighter futures for themselves, their families and their communities.

Your kindness is a beautiful reflection of our St Thomas values and reminds us that together we can make a real difference.

Thank you for living our faith through action.

St Thomas Day had one more surprise!

After a day full of learning, laughter and celebration, there was one final request from the children… "Please can we watch the Socceroos?"

The compromise was perfect. We kept every bit of the St Thomas Day fun, then gathered together at lunchtime to watch the final 15–20 minutes of the match.

What followed was priceless. The children sat beautifully, sang the Australian national anthem (more than once!), chanted, cheered, waved their scarves and arms like true football fans, and kept asking, "Is a draw enough, Mrs Chappell?"

When the final whistle blew and Australia had done enough to progress, the place erupted! What a special moment of shared joy and school spirit.

Good luck, Socceroos, against Egypt next week. We're all crossing our fingers and hoping the children can watch another memorable match!

Thanks for setting it all up Mrs Robertson and a certain Year Six leader for composing the email that got Principal approval!!

💚💛 Go Socceroos! 🇦🇺⚽ And England too 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

"My Lord and my God."

Today we celebrated St Thomas Day by following in the footsteps of our patron saint, asking questions, discovering truth and joyfully proclaiming our faith.

From crafts and keepsakes to new languages, stained glass creations, singing, laughter and a beautiful liturgy, it was a day to remember.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff for bringing the day to life with such energy, creativity and fun. We were also delighted to welcome Father Denis, Father James and our local MP Michael Galea to our celebrations.

Stay safe these holidays one and all.

We also farewelled our wonderful Mrs Dourley whom we send on to St Agathas with hearts full of love and admiration and a little broken too. We know you will smash it there Kate.
