Every successful teacher-parent relationship is built on one simple thing: trust.

Unfortunately, we have noticed a growing trend where some parents attend the assessment, enrol their child, attend the first class, and then delay payment with promises like:

* “I’ll transfer it once I get home.”
* “I’ll do it in a little while.”
* “I’m just busy.”
* Or they simply stop responding.

By the time we finally reach them, the reason often turns out to be something completely different from what was initially said.

Please understand that this puts us in a very uncomfortable position.

Instead of discussing your child’s learning, strengths, progress and goals, we end up chasing payments and having awkward conversations that neither you nor we enjoy.

For small amounts, it is simply not practical to involve debt recovery or legal action. We rely on honesty and mutual respect.

Today, we experienced a situation where we were repeatedly assured that payment would be made. After waiting, calling and following up, it eventually became clear that the concern wasn’t an emergency at all—it was uncertainty about whether the child would like the classes.

We completely understand that every parent wants to make the right decision for their child.

That’s exactly why we offer an assessment before enrolment.

However, once you choose to proceed with the first class, we expect the agreed payment to be made. We cannot reserve a teacher’s time, prepare lessons and deliver services without payment.

Just as we honour our commitment to teach your child with dedication, we ask parents to honour theirs.

Our policy is simple:
✅ Assessment first.
✅ If you decide to enrol, payment is required before or at the first class.
❌ We do not offer “try a class and decide later” after enrolment.

Hunar Tuition Services is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated Maths and English Tutors to join our growing team across Craigieburn and Kalkallo.

We provide high-quality, personalised tuition to students from Prep to Year 10, helping them build confidence, strengthen their academic skills and achieve outstanding results. Our small-group and one-to-one lessons are designed to create a positive, engaging and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

About the Role

As a tutor, you will:

* Teach Maths and/or English to students from Prep to Year 10.
* Deliver engaging small-group and one-to-one lessons.
* Explain concepts clearly and adapt your teaching to suit different learning needs.
* Support students with school curriculum, foundational skills, NAPLAN, scholarship preparation and exam preparation.
* Encourage students to develop confidence, resilience and positive learning habits.
* Build positive relationships with students and parents.
* Contribute to a professional, welcoming and supportive learning environment.

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from:

* Qualified Teachers.
* Pre-service Teachers.
* University students studying Education or a related field.
* High-achieving university students with an ATAR of 90 or above, even if they are not studying Education.

Applicants should have:

* A genuine passion for teaching and helping children succeed.
* Strong knowledge of Mathematics and/or English.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
* Previous tutoring or classroom experience (preferred but not essential).
* Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
* Australian work rights.
* Driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred).

Minimum Availability Requirements

Applicants must:

* Be available to work between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm on weekdays.
* Be available for a minimum of two weekday shifts per week.
* Be available for at least one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday).
* Be willing to commit to working with Hunar Tuition Services for a minimum of two school terms.

The ability to work at short notice will be highly regarded and considered a bonus.
