The Toddler children have been exploring ways to look after their teeth and oral hygiene.

The children used recycled materials to make an upcycled toothbrush set in the classroom and explored different items we use to brush our teeth and gums.

Together, this experience explored numerous ideas, such as counting teeth, effective oral hygiene, communication skills, and turn-taking.

The Nursery team has been working on further scaffolding and exploring recycling initiatives.

Today, the children and team explored sensory concepts by repainting and making musical instruments from old tubs.

This learning provokes children's curiosity, encouraging them to explore different methods of resourcing and to understand that they can use absolutely anything to learn from!

As the children in the Toddler room have been exploring the 5 senses, the educational team supported an investigation activity in which children could choose from different images and use their cognitive skills to determine which item was linked to each sense.

Together, the children and Educators explored different senses, learned how the body works, and developed hands-on skills.

The Kinder One children have been exploring the use of scissors, using them safely to cut and arrange collected leaves and flowers into gorgeous natural garden collages, refining their fine-motor skills and creative expression.

To continue extending, the Teachers in the classroom have been supporting the children in demonstrating environmental care by using a recycled tray to plant fresh coriander seeds.

They practised great hand-eye coordination as they poured the potting mix, pressed the seeds into the soil, and watered them.

This hands-on experience fostered scientific inquiry and a connection to nature as they learned what living things need to grow
