Rain Cloud Experiment

Today, our 4-year-old Kinder children were excited to participate in another science experiment. This time, we explored how rain falls from clouds using shaving foam and coloured dye.

We filled a clear container with water and then added a thick layer of shaving foam on top to represent the cloud. The children took turns carefully adding drops of coloured dye to the foam.

Soon, we began to observe the colourful “rain” slowly making its way through the cloud and into the water below.
The children were fascinated as the colours remained separate for a little while before gradually mixing together.

Throughout the experiment, the children shared their ideas and talked about what they could see happening at each stage.
It was a wonderful hands-on experience that encouraged curiosity, observation, prediction and scientific thinking.

Wooden Stick Bridge Adventure

Today, our educator created a colourful bridge using popsicle sticks to provide the children with an exciting and engaging hands-on learning experience.

The wooden stick bridge quickly became a favourite as the children drove their toy cars across it, exploring different ways to play, move, and interact.
Through this activity, the children developed their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.

Jellyfish Adventures!

Today our little learners dove into the fascinating world of jellyfish! We explored a photo of a jellyfish and discovered how its amazing tentacles help it move through the ocean, catch food, and stay safe from predators.

To bring our learning to life, the children created a colourful jellyfish by threading bright pipe cleaners through a jellyfish template.
This fun, hands-on activity strengthened their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, finger strength, pincer grasp, and concentration while encouraging problem-solving and perseverance.

Dental Health Week Has Begun!

Our four-year-old Kindergarten children kicked off Dental Health Week with a fantastic discussion all about keeping our smiles healthy and bright!

Together, we explored pictures of happy teeth and sad teeth and became little dental detectives.
The children carefully sorted different foods, deciding which ones help keep our teeth strong, healthy, and happy, and which foods can cause our teeth to become sad if we eat them too often.

We can't wait to continue our Dental Health Week adventures with more fun, hands-on learning experiences!
