Hi families,
For those who may not know me yet, I’m Reeta, the Centre Manager.
I’ve always believed that working in early childhood is about so much more than caring for children. It’s about caring for the people who come with them too.
When your child becomes part of our centre, your family becomes part of ours. I genuinely see our families as an extension of our centre family. I want to know you, not just as a name on an enrolment form, but as a person.
I want to know how your morning is going, what your child has been up to at home, what they’re excited about, what they’re finding difficult and even the little things you might think are insignificant.
Because they’re not insignificant to me.
Every family is different. Every child is different. Every parent has their own story, their own worries, their own way of doing things and that’s what makes our community so special.
And yes, you’ll probably see me walking around the centre, a million things going through my head and somehow still asking, “How are you going?” 😂
But honestly, I mean it every time I ask.
I care about how you’re going.
I care about your children.
I care about our educators.
And I care about the kind of place we are creating together.
I know that when you leave your child with us, you are trusting us with the most important little person in your life. That trust means everything to me.
I want your child to feel safe here. I want them to feel loved, understood and comfortable enough to be completely themselves.
I want them to have educators who know when they need a hug, when they need a little encouragement and when they just need someone to sit beside them.
And I want you to feel that too.
That when you walk through our doors, you’re not just another family.
You’re our family. ❤️

These years go so quickly, and it is such a privilege to be part of them.

Celebrating NAIDOC Week ❤️💛🖤

Our children enjoyed a wonderful week of meaningful learning as we celebrated NAIDOC Week through a variety of hands-on experiences. They explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures by creating Aboriginal Flag artworks, experimenting with nature leaf painting, discovering Aboriginal symbols, engaging in sensory play with Australian animals and natural materials, gathering around a symbolic campfire for storytelling and yarning, and participating in many more engaging activities throughout the week.

These experiences encouraged curiosity, creativity, respect, and a deeper appreciation of the world’s oldest continuing cultures.

🦋 Butterfly Kidz Incursion 🦋

At Kool Kidz Craigieburn, we love providing our children with regular incursions that bring learning to life!

Our little learners had a wonderful time during the Butterfly Kidz Incursion, where they enjoyed getting up close with beautiful butterflies and learning about the butterfly life cycle. It was a fun, interactive experience filled with excitement, curiosity, and lots of smiles. 💙

Our 4 year old Kindergarten children recently enjoyed a fantastic excursion to Essendon Traffic School as part of Australian Road Safety Week.

The excitement began with a bus ride, adding to the adventure and making the experience even more memorable! At Kool Kidz Craigieburn, we value regular excursions that extend children’s learning beyond the classroom and into the community.

The children had a wonderful time exploring the traffic course, learning about road safety, and practising how to be safe pedestrians and bike riders.

A special thank you to Margaret for delivering such an engaging and enjoyable session.

A fun-filled day of learning, confidence building, and adventure!

We were delighted to welcome all the amazing mums, nans and special people in our children’s lives to our Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea celebration this week.

The afternoon was filled with special activities planned by the children including nail painting, play dough fun, “Make My Picture”, photo frame decorating, card making, and even a relaxing foot spa and massage station.

Our children were so excited to gift their special people thoughtful creations made with so much love and care. 💖

It was such a lovely afternoon celebrating the important people in our children’s lives and sharing special moments together.

Today was filled with joy, laughter, and lots of Easter fun at Kool Kidz Craigieburn!

Our families joined us to enjoy the beautiful Easter hat parade, where the children proudly showcased their creative, handmade hats. It was so special to see parents engaging in activities alongside their children and sharing these memorable moments together.

The excitement continued with our Easter egg hunt, where the children had an amazing time searching for hidden eggs around the yard. And of course, the highlight of the day, a special visit from the Easter Bunny, which brought big smiles and even bigger excitement!

🌙✨ Eid Mubarak from Kool Kidz Craigieburn! ✨🌙

Yesterday, we celebrated Eid with so much joy, colour and togetherness! The children explored creativity through beautiful Eid-themed painting, expressing themselves freely while learning about different cultures and celebrations.

Our foyer was filled with warmth as families and staff enjoyed a variety of delicious treats, creating a lovely moment to connect and celebrate as a community.

Celebrations like these help our children build a sense of belonging, respect, and appreciation for diversity. It was truly heartwarming to see our children, families, and staff come together to share in the spirit of Eid.
