As part of our ongoing Literacy and Numeracy studies, Crabbes Creek Public School students took a wonderful trip to the New Brighton Farmers Market this past Tuesday. Our young learners explored the vibrant market stalls, practicing their shopping skills as they picked fresh ingredients for delicious recipes they will create back at school.
The day was filled with joy and learning, the children sang lively tunes for the local shoppers and store holders, spreading cheer and connecting with our community. After an engaging morning, they cooked up a storm and enjoyed a tasty lunch made from their market finds.
What a fantastic way to bring literacy, numeracy, and practical life skills together! We’re proud of our students for their enthusiasm and creativity.

We love living our learning! Our 3-6 class worked hard this afternoon, baking a delicious morning tea for our visitors at tomorrow's Book Character Parade. We look forward to seeing our friends and families there!

🌟 Book Week Character Parade 🌟
We're celebrating our love of reading with a Character Parade on Friday 28 August at 9:00am! Students will team up with buddies to explore characters in their allocated books, then choose their favourite to dress up as—simple costumes made from household items are encouraged.
Parents and carers are warmly invited to join the fun, discuss the book and character with your child, and help pull together a creative costume. It's a wonderful way to support your child’s learning and see the magic of storytelling brought to life!

🎉 What a show at Crabbes Creek for Education Week! Our talented students wowed us with dancing, acting, instruments, and even hula hoops – a true celebration of diverse skills.
With just two spots open for the Small School Talent Show in Week 10, and a tight race at the top, our top performers will get a second chance to impress the judges in Week 7! Finalists will be announced after round two.
Thanks to all the amazing students who took part and to our fantastic parents and community for the great support! 🌟
