This year’s Book Week theme is “Symphony of Stories”, celebrating the wonderful stories, characters and books that bring reading to life.

To celebrate, Cowwarr Primary School will hold our Book Week Dress-Up Day on Friday 28th August.

Students are invited to come dressed as a favourite book or story character. Costumes can be as simple or creative as you like, the most important thing is celebrating a character or story you love!

Our Book Week Parade will begin at 10.30am, where students will have the chance to show off their wonderful costumes. This will be followed by a special Book Week morning tea for everyone to enjoy.

Families are warmly invited to join us for the parade and morning tea as we celebrate our love of books and reading together.

Volunteers needed to sell raffle tickets Saturday

Sorry for the late notice!

Cowwarr Football Club has asked if Cowwarr Primary School can run the raffle at the North Gippsland Football Netball League Qualifying Finals, being held at the Cowwarr Football Oval this Saturday, 22nd August.

This is another great opportunity for our little school to raise some much-needed funds, and we would really appreciate any help from our school community.

This week, our students have begun their swimming lessons and are already making a splash!

It has been wonderful to see students growing in confidence, developing their swimming skills and challenging themselves in the pool. Most importantly, there have been plenty of smiles, laughter and fun along the way! 😊🌊

👢💛 Cowwarr Primary School Gumboot-a-thon 2026 💛👢

Pull on your favourite gumboots and join us for our Gumboot-a-thon on Friday 4th September at 10:00 am!

This fun community event is all about coming together, getting active, and supporting an important cause. Every dollar raised will be donated to RUOK?, helping to start meaningful conversations and support mental health across Australia.

Whether your gumboots are bright, colourful, muddy or mismatched, we'd love to see everyone getting involved!

Victoria account to complete the online application form by Friday 31 July 2026.

If you need assistance in completing your online application please see Lianne or Indi in the office we are more than happy to help.

We will then review the information submitted and be in contact with you between Monday 3 August and Friday 14 August 2026 (for applications submitted by the due date of 31 July 2026).

You should accept one enrolment offer by Friday 28 August 2026. When accepting an offer, you will be required to provide additional personal and health information that will be shared with the school.

Volunteers Needed – Cowwarr Football Club Gate & Raffle sales

Hi everyone,

We’ve got another great opportunity to raise funds for our school by helping at the gate and selling raffle tickets at the Cowwarr Football Club on Saturday 8th August. So far this year we have raised over $1500, which was a fantastic effort.

If you’re able to spare some time, we’d really appreciate your help. It’s a relaxed day, the crowd is friendly, and the time goes quickly.

We’re looking to fill the following time slots:

8:00 – 10:00am
10:00am – 12:00pm
12:00 – 2:00pm

Last Day of Term! 🎉

Our students enjoyed a shorter day to wrap up Term 2 and they still packed it full of fun! We whipped up some sherbet in science (yum! 🍬🧪) and got creative with some awesome art.

It's been a term full of wonderful experiences and amazing moments, but unfortunately, we're also saying some tough goodbyes. We're farewelling four of our awesome students, as well as Miss Maddy. 💙 We've spent the last two days celebrating them, making memories, and sending them off with all the love they deserve.

Thank you to everyone for a fantastic term. Now go, have fun, stay safe, and enjoy those holidays! You've earned it! ☀️😊

👢 Gumbootathon 2026: R U OK? 🩵

Cowwarr Primary School is at it again! On Thursday, 4th September 2026, we'll be pulling on our gumboots and walking laps around our wonderful school to support R U OK? and we'd love you to join us!

At Cowwarr, we truly care about every single person in our community. We want everyone to feel happy, supported, and worry-free, and that's exactly why we've chosen this incredible charity.

R U OK? is a public health promotion that encourages us all to stay connected and have those important conversations that can help someone through a tough time. It's about investing in our relationships with friends, family, and colleagues, checking in regularly, spotting the signs when someone might be struggling, and connecting them with the support they need.

Our Gumbootathon is always a fantastic day full of energy, enthusiasm, and a whole lot of heart as we see how much we can raise for a cause that matters. We'd love for you to get involved, whether that's walking with us, donating, or both! 🚶‍♂️💙
