π Inclusive Education β Learning Beyond the Classroom
On Monday of Week 4, students from our Inclusive Education Faculty travelled to Young to visit Omnia β Inclusive Employment Solutions.
During the visit, students took part in the Mini Woolies activity, a simulated workplace experience that gave them the opportunity to practise real-world skills including money handling, customer service, inventory management and point-of-sale technology.
Our students embraced the experience with enthusiasm and confidence, showing a wonderful willingness to step outside their comfort zones and try something new. It was fantastic to see them developing practical workplace skills while engaging so positively with the activity.
A huge thank you to the team at Omnia Young for welcoming our students and providing such a valuable experience, helping them build a greater understanding of workplace skills and expectations.
Thank you also to the Cowra High School staff who joined the excursion and supported and encouraged our students throughout the day.
And finally, a special thank you to Tayler, our Job Coach, for organising this wonderful excursion and creating such a meaningful learning opportunity for our students.
Well done to all of our students for giving everything a go and making the most of the experience! π
