Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

We also work closely with families to understand each child's individual sleep routine, because feeling safe, settled and well-rested helps children learn, grow and thrive.

💜 Safe sleep is everyone's responsibility, and it's always a priority.

During NAIDOC Week, our preschool children attended a local school’s flag-raising ceremony, where they were inspired by a powerful performance from the Aboriginal dance group. Their excitement sparked a desire to learn more, and rather than simply recreating what they had seen, we reached out to the school to seek guidance and learn directly from those who hold this cultural knowledge.

We were honoured to welcome 24 Mulyan students to our centre today, where they generously shared their culture, stories and dances with our children. Led by Will from the neighbourhood centre, with the support of Mr and Mrs Beale, the students taught our children the meaning behind each dance and invited them to participate alongside them.
It was a powerful example of children learning from children, building understanding, respect and connection through culture. We are incredibly grateful to the Mulyan students and community members who shared their knowledge with us and supported our ongoing commitment to listening, learning and strengthening our connection with Indigenous culture and perspectives.

A little bit of magic came to Goodstart Cowra yesterday!
Our Preschool classroom was transformed into a magician’s stage when Mr Bamboozle came to visit! The children were filled with awe and laughter as they helped Mr Bamboozle find his friends.
Through magic, puppetry and lots of fun, the children were entertained while also learning a valuable lesson about friendship, kindness and being a good friend.

Thank you, Mr Bamboozle, for such a magical visit!
