🍦 Our students were very lucky yesterday on the last day of term!

Mrs Magarry surprised everyone with a delicious ice‑cream treat, and the smiles said it all. The students enjoyed them so much… and we’re pretty sure a few staff members couldn’t resist having a sneaky one too!

✨ International Sign Language Day ✨

Yesterday was International Sign Language Day, and here in Australia we proudly use Auslan.

To celebrate, some of our wonderful K–2 students performed “You Are My Sunshine” in Auslan, a beautiful reminder of how powerful signing can be.

Sign language is an important form of communication, not only for the Deaf community but also for individuals who may be non‑verbal or experience communication barriers.

At Cowper, we embrace Auslan as part of our everyday language. It helps us create a school environment where every child feels included, supported, and understood.
