A cheeky Golden Labrador was running around the school just now. The dog was seen heading towards Fraser Road with school property in his mouth. Staff attempted to call the dog and encourage him to return, however, he would not respond to calls and continued running. TGIF

Our P&C Father’s Day Stall is happening Wednesday 2nd September from 8am in the Multipurpose Room!
Students will have the opportunity to choose a special little gift for their dad, grandad or someone special in their life. 💚
There will be a selection of gifts available, as well as Ku-ring g*i Butcher Shop voucher – perfect for a special treat!

🦋🔬Science Week Incursion! 🔬🦋

What a fantastic and engaging start to Science Week. 🌟

Our students were excited to welcome the team from Britz4Kids, who delivered a hands-on lesson exploring the fascinating life cycle of a butterfly. 🐛➡️🦋

The learning didn’t stop there! Students then had the opportunity to construct their very own butterflies using motors to make the wings flap. There was plenty of problem-solving, creativity, curiosity and lots of excited faces as students watched their creations come to life! ⚙️🦋

A huge thank you to Britz4Kids for such an engaging and memorable learning experience. We love seeing our students learning through hands-on STEM experiences! 💚

At Cowan Public School, we are so proud to open our doors not only to pre-service teachers, but also to those beginning their journey as School Learning Support Officers (SLSOs). 💚

Of late, we have had the absolute pleasure of welcoming two very lovely ladies, Jenni (pictured) and Jane, who have been completing their SLSO training with us in our Support Unit.

While we are supporting them through their 100 hours of practical training, the learning goes both ways. Having new people join our team brings fresh perspectives, new ideas and different ways of thinking. It gives us the opportunity to reflect on what we do, share our knowledge and, importantly, keep our own practice fresh and evolving. 🌱

Jenni and Jane have been an absolute delight to have at CPS. Their willingness to learn, their care for our students and the way they have embraced our school community has been wonderful to see.

💚 A huge thank you to Jenni and Jane for choosing Cowan Public School as part of your learning journey. We are so grateful to have had you with us and wish you every success as you continue on your SLSO journey!

🌟 Farewell to wonderful Miss Follows🌟

Yesterday we said farewell to a fantastic pre-service teacher who has been completing her teaching prac with us at Cowan Public School.

It has been such a pleasure having Miss Follows as part of our school community. She brought enthusiasm, kindness, creativity and a genuine passion for teaching into the classroom. She quickly built wonderful relationships with our students and was always willing to get involved and give things a go.

We have loved watching her confidence grow throughout her prac, and we have no doubt she has a bright future ahead in teaching. 🍎📚✨

Thank you for all your hard work, enthusiasm and the positive contribution you made to our school. We wish you every success as you continue your journey to becoming a teacher! 💚
