Today we celebrate the women of Legacy and women everywhere. ❤️

Women who walked through the doors for the first time feeling nervous…Women who stayed, showed up and discovered strength they didn’t know they had.

Mothers. Daughters. Students. Competitors. Teammates.

Jiu Jitsu brings people together from every walk of life but what makes our women’s team special is the way they support, encourage and lift each other up…on and off the mats.

Happy International Women’s Day🥋✨

Legacy Corrimal team is back from holidays at full steam!! But my son wants to stop training jiu-jitsu!
This is one of the phrases we hear most often and that’s normal, because:
Children get discouraged.
They fluctuate.
They test limits.
That doesn’t mean the sport isn’t working.
Most of the time, it means learning has started to require effort.
Children still don’t have the emotional maturity to decide on their own what’s best for them.
If it depended only on desire, the easiest path would almost always win.
That’s why educating requires patience, consistency, and guidance.
In jiu-jitsu, children learn resilience, respect for opponents, self-control, and how to deal with victories and defeats, values that go beyond the mat and reflect in life.
Consistency is also education.
What your child learns today can define the adult they become tomorrow.
Before deciding to quit, it’s worth reflecting:
are we choosing immediate comfort or long-term growth? This is a much harder question to answer than it seems. See you all on the mats😉

Big thank you to for coming up and sharing a bit of his knowledge with the Wollongong community! It was a good day! Don’t forget to jump in to the platform —Method In Chaos for access to the full class and your grappling needs!
