HOLBROOK EASTER FLY-IN 2022
🤔 A reminder that we welcome all recreational and sport pilots and their aircraft and aviation enthusiasts to the Holbrook Easter Fly-in, which is on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th April 2022.
☀ Refreshments will be available on arrival and throughout both days, commencing at about 9am on Saturday and continuing until 3pm on Sunday. Lunch will also be available on both Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday afternoon Forums will again be a feature of the Fly-in.
☀ RA-Aus Member’s Forum – Chairman Michael Monck and Head of Flight Operations Jill Bailey will update you on the latest information from RA-Aus HQ and answer any and all your questions and take on board any comments and suggestions.
☀ Building and modifying a Jabiru – Dave King will present a first hand demonstration of his experiences and lessons learnt in building and modifying a Jabiru J230.
☀ The Fly-in Dinner "amongst the aircraft" will be available in the Club hangar on Saturday evening commencing with pre-dinner drinks at 6pm. This year’s after dinner speaker is Pieter Mol, who is leading the team involved in the "Uiver" Memorial DC-2 Restoration Project.
The KLM Douglas DC-2 "Uiver" was competing in the 1934 MacRobertson Trophy Race from London to Melbourne when it made an emergency landing on Albury Racecourse after flying into a very bad electrical storm. The "Uiver" story is an interesting one and Pieter is the best person to tell it.
☀ Camp under wing or book into accommodation in Holbrook Township. Transport to and from Holbrook will be available. See website for accommodation details (link below).
