What a great way to finish off Term 2! On Tuesday we had a mystery excursion where staff surprised students and took them to see Toy Story 5 at Lismore Cinemas. Thank you to the P&C for covering the cost of the tickets, popcorn and a drink. For many it was the first time in a cinema and for others, the first time in the Big Screen cinema, in recliners. On Wednesday, students showcased their achievements to their parents at our end of term assembly. Thank you to Matt from Maca Music, for showcasing the students and their music skills developed in weekly lessons. Today we welcomed Whian Whian and Upper Coopers Creek students and worked with Tamlin and Clay from Dorroughby Environmental Education Centre, undertaking NAIDOC Day activities. Have a great break everyone!

Delicious curries, scrumptious desserts, homemade lanterns, a bonfire, stargazing and a disco to finish - that was Corndale Public School’s annual Curry Night! Thank you to our amazing school community for coming together for our Term 2 social event. The limbo was an exciting end to the evening. Congratulations to our junior and senior student winners and to our keen and very flexible adult participants. The smiles on everyone’s faces, said it all!

Thank you to Whian Whian PS for inviting us to a wonderful day of socialising and Laser Tag. Friendships were built and strengthened between the many students from small schools in our area. We had a great time!

We are so lucky here at Corndale to have such a wonderful community of families. It's nights like our Curry/Bonfire night that enable us to strengthen our connections and fill our hearts, reminding us that we thrive through connection. 🥳🫶🌟

Thank you to our many parents, ex-parents, staff and community members, for coming together last Friday, to make the Zone Cross Country canteen fundraiser such a great success. From donations of home cooking, to transporting equipment to the new venue, setting up and packing down (in horrendous winds), cooking BBQs, making hot drinks and serving throughout the day- We are extremely thank you for your generosity of time and spirit. Thank you also to the many local businesses who donated prizes for our raffle and congratulations to the winners. THANK YOU to Planet Music, Firewheel Nursery, The Cro’s Nest, Lismore Pie Cart, Lismore Cinemas, Village Pizza, Sarah’s Hair Salon and the Book Warehouse. Thank you for supporting our small school!

Congratulations Corndale on hosting another successful District Cross Country event. It was wonderful to have the students of Corndale, Whian Whian, Dunoon, The Channon and Modanville compete in this annual event. Well done to our students for your commitment and perseverance with your races. It is a long way to run. We are proud of you all. We had many great results with students making it into the first 4 placings of their events! We look forward to watching Leo, Timon and Cash perform at Zone, to be held at our school next week on Friday 22 May. Thank you to our amazing Corndale community for providing delicious treats to sell, manning the BBQ and serving the competitors and their families. Well done Corndale!!
