If you have a child turning 3, 4 or 5 years old and have been thinking about preschool for your child, then now is the time to get in contact with us.

Today is Early Childhood Educator’s Day.
A preschool is nothing without the amazing educators that they have and our preschool is fortunate to have a great team that prioritises each child’s safety, security but most importantly their ability to have fun while they are learning.
A huge thank you to the wonderful educators that choose to work at Coraki Preschool.

The Service NSW Mobile Service Centre is coming to Coraki.
They will be set up at Memorial Park, 123 Richmond Terrace on

A huge thank you to the Evan’s Head Men’s Shed who made us a new dolls house that allows our children to have several participants in the play experience at the same time.
The dolls house has already provided the children with multiple play opportunities that encourage collaboration between the children.

Yesterday Coraki Public School hosted our preschool, along with the Mid Richmond Neighbourhood Centres Coraki Playgroup for their “Thank a First Responder Day” activities.
The children were able to see the wonderful presentations put on by each class and then explore the emergency vehicles on display.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every First Responder who put the community first each day they step out to support someone in need.
Thank you to the Coraki Fire Brigade, Woodburn Rural Fire Service & St John’s Ambulance for making themselves available for the day and the many questions you answered from our children.

Yesterday Suzie was in Ballina for a joint Department of Education and Northern NSW Local Health District workshop on Brighter Beginnings.
A focus of the workshop was increasing the literacy levels of all children in our local area and working with children, especially the year before school, in an intentional manner, bringing their literacy levels higher before they start school.
Suzie looks forward to bringing this information and the subsequent professional development back to the team at preschool.

Last week Suzie & Meranda attended the Stronger Smarter Together Summit in Brisbane.
It was an insightful experience to celebrate 21 years of the Stronger Smarter Institute, seeking feedback on what a Stronger Smarter Secondary school might look like and what can become possible when a Higher Expectation Relationship focus goes beyond education.

One of the most resounding quotes from the Summit was from Dr. Chris Sarra, “If you want to transform the life of a child, give them a teacher that believes in them”.

What a great experience being able to hear and be part of the discussions with so many inspirational speakers.
