Last Thursday, 3rd of September, the Junior Performing Arts Academy travelled to the Events Centre in Caloundra to perform for the Queensland Theatre Company. The Scene Project is a statewide initiative that the Queensland Theatre Company holds each year. Schools receive a new original play and then create a 10- to 15-minute performance using the script as inspiration. This year, the play explored the Greek myth of ‘Icarus’. Students watched the performances of three other local schools and then the full play performed by the professional cast from the QTC.
The Junior Academy students created and presented a polished and entertaining piece. They were amazing to watch up on the stage. Congratulations to all the cast and crew of ‘Icarus’.
