Kids Ark OSHC & Vacation Care

An exciting opportunity exists at both our Cooroy & Cooran sites for a Lead Educator to start Term 1, 2022.
Cooroy (Located on the grounds of Noosa Christian College) is 20 hours per week. Cooran (Located on the grounds of Cooran State School) is 30 hours per week.
Applicants must have:
Diploma Level Qualification or working towards
Current Blue Card
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Mandatory requirements necessary
Experience in OSHC preferred but not essential

It’s been a very busy week for Kids Ark at Cooroy & Cooran!
There were many conversations throughout the week in relation to kindness, being inclusive, helping each other and much more, after all we are a team that support & look out for each other!
We’ve introduced our team mascot this week Mango to the Kids Ark team & she was thoroughly enjoyed by lots of the children!

Here’s the fourth of our life lessons:

Sometimes we find a child who hasn’t developed the skills of happily entertaining themselves and therefore look to us constantly to fulfill this need.
The child, in this case, is given the freedom to choose & either choice is a win.
1. Help an adult with a job
2. Find something fun to do for themselves, hence they are building the ability to entertain themselves and are breaking the habit or expectation that it is the role of others to keep them entertained.

This skill contributes to the healthy development & independence of the child.

What a fun week!

We had so much fun playing Newcombe ball (our new favourite), Gaga ball, building dinosaur habitats, creating nature art and catching up with our friends

Effective negotiation skills enable children to develop into successful adults & members of society by striving for win-win solutions, while confidently standing up for themselves. When we let children experience a little power, we raise confident children who are great at making choices and negotiation.
