The stories of Country begin with a mark.

At Goodstart Coopers Plains, children are exploring mark making and signs as a powerful way to express their ideas, identities and connections to the world around them. Through nature-inspired experiences, children are drawing, tracing, mapping and creating as they deepen their understanding of Country and our commitment to reconciliation. Guided by the belief that the environment is the third teacher, our outdoor spaces invite curiosity, creativity and belonging, nurturing children's relationships with the land, community and each other. Every mark tells a story, and every story strengthens our connection to place. This sign now proudly stands in our UN Rights Discovery garden.

Creating a safe sleep environment is one of the many ways we care for children each day. From following safe sleep practices and using approved cots, to completing visual checks every 5 minutes, our educators take every step to help children rest safely and comfortably.

We also work closely with families to understand each child's individual sleep routine, because feeling safe, settled and well-rested helps children learn, grow and thrive.

💜 Safe sleep is everyone's responsibility, and it's always a priority.

Exciting News for Our Community!

We are thrilled and incredibly grateful to share that we have been awarded a $250 grant from Child Rights Queensland to support the continued development of our Child's Rights Discovery Trail at the entrance of our service.

This project was designed to bring children's rights to the forefront of everyday conversations and to create a visible reminder that every child has the right to feel safe, valued, respected and heard. As a centre, our philosophy is simple: we start with safety and end with safety, ensuring that children's wellbeing remains at the heart of every decision we make.

We hope the trail sparks conversations, builds awareness and encourages everyone who visits to reflect on the importance of advocating for children and ensuring their voices are heard.

A heartfelt thank you to Child Rights Queensland for investing in this important project and helping us strengthen our commitment to child safety and children's rights within our community.

Because every child deserves to feel safe, belong, and have their rights respected.

Miss Aarti's calm and nurturing nature creates a sense of comfort and belonging for every child she works with. Her patience, kindness and gentle encouragement help children build confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Educator Day Was Out of This World at Goodstart Coopers Plains!
Yesterday we celebrated our incredible educators in true superhero style! From capes and masks to lots of laughter and team spirit, it was a day dedicated to the everyday heroes who make a difference in the lives of children and families.

And because every superhero deserves a reward, whether you were sweet or savoury, there was a treat for every hero! From delicious snacks to special surprises, our team enjoyed a well-deserved celebration of all they do. We thank our amazing families for their kind treaty gifts.

At Goodstart Coopers Plains, our educators' superpowers are kindness, patience, dedication and creating meaningful connections that help children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn. We are so grateful for the passion and care they bring to our centre every single day.

Thank you to our amazing team for being the superheroes behind every smile, every achievement and every memorable moment.

Not all superheroes wear capes... but ours did yesterday and everyday!!
