πŸ“šπŸ° A Little Book Week Mischief! 🎭✨

There was definitely a little Matilda magic (and mischief!) in the air for our Book Week celebrations! We celebrated the Symphony of Books with a special nod to Matilda the Musical β€” and even welcomed the one and only Bruce Bogtrotter, who thankfully survived his encounter with the chocolate cake! 🍫🍰 Our students absolutely nailed their costumes, bringing some of their favourite book characters to life and filling our school with colour, creativity and plenty of laughs. A wonderfully wacky way to celebrate the magic of books! πŸ“šβœ¨

🫁 Stage 3 Science – The Human Body 🧠

Stage 3 have been busy exploring The Human Body through hands-on STEM learning! Working collaboratively in small groups, students designed and created projects to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the respiratory system, with a focus on how our lungs work, and the digestive system, exploring the important role of the stomach.

It was wonderful to see students working together, problem-solving and bringing their scientific learning to life! πŸ”¬πŸ‘

🌿 Aussie Bush Camp – Final Day! 🌿

What a fantastic way to finish our Aussie Bush Camp adventure! After plenty of laughs and fun at games night, our campers were ready for one final day of challenges.

Students showed lots of courage as they tackled the high ropes and indoor rock climbing, encouraging each other and giving everything a go! πŸ§—β€β™€οΈπŸ’ͺ We then loaded up the bus and headed home after a wonderful few days filled with new experiences, teamwork, bravery and lots of great memories. πŸ’šπŸšŒ

A huge shout-out to Forster Public School for generously lending us their bus and helping make this excursion possible. We are also incredibly grateful to our wonderful staff who gave their time, energy and care to support our students throughout camp. Your support helped make the experience such a success! πŸ’š

What a wonderful camp and one we won’t forget!

Stage 3 Virtual Excursion: Visit Us at Our House

Yesterday, as part of our HSIE unit, Stage 3 took a virtual tour of NSW Parliament House through the "Visit Us at Our House" program, joining another school for the session. Students explored the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council chambers and learnt about the roles of our elected representatives. One student from each school even took on a tongue twister challenge, and all students got involved in role play activities, stepping into the shoes of Members of Parliament. It was a fantastic, interactive way to bring our learning about democracy and law-making to life! Ask your child what they discovered about how a bill becomes a law.
