Today was an exciting day for our GEN-STEM students as we welcomed our incredible Wonder of Science mentors from the University of Queensland!

Our Year 8 scientists were busy completing the final stages of data collection for their investigations into how changing environmental conditions impact single-celled organisms. Working alongside university mentors, students refined their experimental techniques, analysed results, and prepared to share their discoveries with a wider audience.

Meanwhile, our Year 7 engineers reached new heights as they continued their rocket investigations! Students worked with mentors to organise their findings, evaluate their designs, and prepare engaging presentations that showcase their learning journey.

With the Wonder of Science Conference fast approaching in early Term 3, both year levels are developing their skills as young researchers - learning how to communicate scientific ideas, present evidence, and share their innovations with confidence.

A huge thank you to our University of Queensland Wonder of Science mentors for inspiring our students and helping bring STEM learning to life. We can't wait to see our students take the stage and showcase their amazing work at the conference!

Alumni Spotlight: Montana

We are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our recent graduates, Montana, who continues to achieve amazing things since finishing at our college last year.

Through determination, resilience, and an unwavering belief in her dreams, Montana has just reached an incredible milestone - qualifying for the Para Pan Pacific Championships and earning the title of Paralympic Dolphin 🇦🇺

Her journey has not been easy, marked by challenges, setbacks, and obstacles, but Montana has shown true strength and perseverance every step of the way. Her story is a powerful reminder that no matter what you face, your goals are always worth pursuing.

Montana will proudly represent Australia at the Para Pan Pacific Championships in Los Angeles in August 2026 - an extraordinary achievement we couldn’t be more excited about!

Your college community is cheering you on, Montana. You are an inspiration to us all, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

Congratulations, Montana - we are so proud of you!

First break was buzzing today as Moreton House hosted a fantastic charity event in support of Red Frogs.

Students enjoyed a crowd-favourite sausage sizzle and had the chance to grab some sweet treats, all while supporting a great cause.

The highlight? A lively State of Origin touch game in the sports hall…
💙 NSW snuck away with a 5–3 win ❤️

We’ll just say QLD showed great sportsmanship and is clearly saving their best plays for tonight!

A huge thank you to Moreton House for organising such a fun event and supporting an important cause!

Our Year 7 students have done an outstanding job representing our College at the Reader’s Cup competition.

Congratulations to Ayanna, Coen, Lincoln, Esandu, and Mahlia, who have shown outstanding dedication in preparing for this event. The team spent countless lunchtimes reading a wide range of novels, collaborating, sharing ideas, and refining their knowledge together.

Their commitment, teamwork, and genuine love of reading truly stood out. We couldn’t be prouder of the way they represented our college!

Well done, team!
