In joining our community on Facebook, Cooma North Public School follows both the DEC Code of Conduct and Facebook terms and conditions. Students:

Cooma North Public School encourages interaction from Facebook users but is not responsible for comments or wall postings made by visitors to the page. Comments posted also do not in any way reflect the opinions or policies of Cooma North Public School. CNPS asks that people making comments on the page show respect for their fellow users by ensuring the discussion remains civil, especially since Facebook allows individuals 13 and over to join. Comments are also subject to Facebook's Terms of Use and Code of Conduct. Remember that your name and photo will be seen next to your comment, visible to the tens of thousands of visitors to the page. Please note that the Department of Education and Communities has this advice for teachers 'Friending' parents on Facebook:
The line between your professional and personal life could become blurred making it difficult to manage your professional relationship with the parents when that becomes necessary. You also need to bear in mind that becoming a Facebook friend with a parent could result in their children getting access to your account as well. You also need to be mindful that you need to be careful what you say on Facebook if you have parents as friends as comments made online can be misunderstood and could result in parental complaints made to your principal.

The EEC students have jumped straight back into STEM learning this term! 🌟

Students have been busy exploring coding and using Micro:bits to create a clever feature for their smart houses. They have been programming their Micro:bits to detect clapping and switch on lights! 👏💡

What a fantastic way to develop problem-solving, creativity and coding skills while exploring smart home technology!

3/4BG have been having a great week leading up to the holidays. We have been using our standup whiteboards (well our version of them) to work together to solve Maths problems. We have also been playing Boom, Boom, Clap to improve our multiplication knowledge.

We were also talking about people who are no longer at CNPS who have helped us on our learning journey. We would like to give a shout out to: Mrs Hedger, Mrs Findlow, Miss Martin-Smith, Mrs Rolfe and (Nanny) Gwen Flanagan. We wish all our families safe and happy holidays ✅⭐️
