Our annual Spring Gymkhana is back! 🎉
Whether you have a green horse, you're a nervous rider or you're simply looking for a fun day out with some healthy competition, this event is for you. ❤️

All ages and riding abilities are welcome.

🐎 Bring Your Own Horse or Use a School Horse

Current HES clients can use a school horse (Allocated based on rider ability). Horses may need to be shared so more riders can participate.

💰 Pricing:$70 for the day + $25 insurance fee

🌦️ Wet Weather Plan: If weather impacts the event, our backup date is 25th October OR we might do challenge first.

📚 Gymkhana Training Clinic: 20th September | 10:00am–2:00pm | $50

Our Trick Riding Clinic is designed for riders who can confidently walk, trot and canter, however intermediate riders are also welcome.

No previous trick riding experience is needed.

🌟 What you'll learn:
✔️ The fundamentals and history of trick riding
✔️ How we train and prepare our trick horses
✔️ Trick riding equipment and safety
✔️ Practice each trick on Trixie the barrel horse before taking it to our experienced trick horses
✔️ Progress from walk, to trot, and for those ready, canter

☕ Afternoon tea is included, giving everyone a chance to recharge before the final part of the training session.

🦺 Safety always comes first: You will learn the correct way to fall, dismount, and perform each trick before progressing. Our highly trained trick horses are absolute superstars, making this a fun, supportive and confidence-building experience.

Whether you're chasing a new challenge, wanting to build confidence, or simply looking for an unforgettable day with horses, you'll leave with new skills, amazing memories, and a huge adrenaline rush! 🤩

We are excited to offer full care agistment at a beautiful property just up the road through a local partnership.

With 24/7 monitored surveillance, professional care, and the services listed below, it's the perfect option for those wanting convenient in-town access to their horse and a welcoming equestrian community.

✨ Weekly Agistment: $130–$150, depending on whether you'd like your horse worked by one of our team following an assessment.

We will arrange a meet & greet before acceptance to ensure your horse is a great fit with the herd. It's also an opportunity for us to get to know each other and make sure we're the right fit too. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive, respectful and drama-free environment, so we're looking for agistees who share those same values and will be a positive part of our horse community.

As part of the Hamilton Equine Services community, agistees will also enjoy exclusive discounts on HES riding lessons, clinics and gymkhanas, plus the convenience of your horse staying on our regular vet, dentist and farrier schedule, making ongoing care easy and stress-free.

Firstly, we just wanted to say Thank you to our incredible clients, students, families, and local community for your ongoing support. Every lesson, booking, kind word, and recommendation helps us continue doing what we love, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you. 🤎

As mentioned on our stories a couple of weeks ago, our updated price list came into effect on 1 July 2026.

We haven't increased our prices for quite some time, but with the rising costs of horse feed, land lease, tack, veterinary care, dental care, farrier services, staff wages, and general operating expenses, it has become necessary to ensure we can continue providing the high-quality care and experiences our horses and clients deserve. 🐎✨
