📚🎤 We held our very first Poetry Competition in the Library this week for students in Year 6 and above, and it was a complete success!

We almost ran out of room with so many students coming along to participate and support their peers! 👏

We heard some amazing poems from our extremely creative students, who impressed us with their confidence, imagination, and talent. ✍️✨

It was a fantastic celebration of creativity and the power of words! 📖💙💛

Our wonderful Prep students looked absolutely fantastic in their Book Week costumes! 👏✨

For our Preppies, this was their very first Book Week assembly, making it an extra-special experience. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they joined in the celebrations with the rest of the College. 📖💙💛

📚 Book Week Part 3 – Awards and Performances! 🎭

At our assembly today, we recognised 12 Creative Writers and 12 Passionate Readers from across every year level. ✍️📖 We also celebrated students who submitted photos of themselves reading in some of the most unusual places, as well as our Best Dressed students from Primary and High School and our fantastic Best Dressed Parents! 👏✨

We were also treated to some wonderful performances! Our very brave Year 1 students put on an amazing production of We're Going on a Bear Hunt, followed by a fantastic rendition of Alpacas and Maracas from some of our other Primary students. 🐻🎶🦙

A huge congratulations to all of our award recipients and performers! What a wonderful way to celebrate Book Week and our students' creativity, confidence, and love of reading. 💙💛📚

Not only have they taken time out of their schedules to teach our students how to play, they have also had heartfelt conversations with them afterwards.

🏃‍♀️🏅 We have had some amazing results from our Peninsula Trials athletes at the Atherton Peninsula Trials, with two of our students now heading to the State Championships!

A huge congratulations to Isla, who achieved:
🥇 1st – 400m
🥇 1st – Triple Jump
🥇 1st – Long Jump
🥉 3rd – 200m

Isla also achieved an incredible three personal bests and will now head to the State Championships for all four events! What an outstanding achievement! 👏

Congratulations also to one of our Year 5 students, who achieved:
🥈 2nd – Shot Put
🥈 2nd – Discus

They will also be heading to the State Championships to compete in both events!

We also congratulate our other talented athletes on their fantastic efforts:

⭐ Shine – 6th in the 800m
⭐ Josie – 5th in the 800m and 5th in the 400m
⭐ Jessica – 5th in the Triple Jump

We are incredibly proud of all our students for their hard work, determination, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to everyone who represented Endeavour Christian College so proudly! 💙💛

Join us at Country Universities Centre Cape York for our upcoming POP (Pathways & Opportunities for Parents/Communities) Session focused on understanding the pathway from school to higher education.

We’ll cover:
✨ How the QTAC and ATAR systems work
✨ What career and study opportunities are available after school
✨ How parents and families can support their child’s transition
✨ University pathways that don’t require an ATAR
✨ The application process and what to expect

This session is all about making university pathways easier to understand and helping families feel confident supporting their young person’s next steps. 🎓
