𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥

Week 10 saw the end of my second school term at Condobolin High School.

It has been a privilege becoming a part of our school community and making new and meaningful connections with students, staff, parents and caregivers, and services throughout the town.

Of greatest note this week was the Graduation of our Year 12, 2026 students. While I have only known them for a short amount of time, their humour, tenacity, loyalty and spirit have left a profound impact on me and the school as a whole.

The pride of the audience at the Graduation Ceremony was evident, and the joy of the celebration will last for many weeks to come.

In Week 10, we also had our last Year 6 to Year 7 transition day, with CHS staff attending Condobolin Public School. Our 2027 Year 7 students are all very enthusiastic about joining us next year and eager to learn more about our curriculum and activities.

As we reach the end of Term 3, I would like to wish all our students, staff, families and caregivers a safe and enjoyable holiday break. I hope everyone has the opportunity to rest, recharge and spend time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 4 and another exciting term at Condobolin High School.

📒📘HSC EXAM SESSIONS📒📘

Over the holidays we are offering our HSC Students the opportunity to attend simulated exam sessions to support their preparation for the upcoming HSC Examinations.

𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 | 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕

As part of yesterday’s Year 12 Graduation Assembly, we were proud to officially induct our 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬.

It was a special moment as our new leaders stepped into their roles, with family members there to share in the occasion.

And they didn’t have to wait long to get started! Their first official duty was to take on the important role of running the Year 12 Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony.

𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝟏𝟎 𝐆𝐄𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘

As part of their final lesson for the Environmental Change and Management topic, 10B Geography completed practical fieldwork on the school agricultural plot.

Working in small groups, 10B established a 30-metre vegetation transect, collecting observations at three locations: the start (0 m), middle (15 m) and end (30 m). Students investigated how physical and climatic conditions influenced vegetation and ground cover across the site.

Students collected a range of fieldwork data, including:
- GPS location, altitude, aspect and terrain characteristics
- Dominant vegetation, vegetation height and density
- Ground cover, including grass, bare ground and leaf litter
- Vegetation diversity
- Temperature, wind speed and direction
- Sunlight/light intensity and cloud cover

The activity gave 10B the opportunity to apply their geographical skills in a real-world setting, collect primary data and investigate how environmental conditions can change across a relatively small area.

🎓 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝟏𝟐 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 — 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Today we celebrated a very special milestone as we farewelled our Year 12 Class of 2026 at their Graduation Assembly.

After six years of high school, our graduates gathered with family, friends and staff to celebrate their achievements, reflect on their time at Condobolin High School and look towards the exciting journey ahead.

From their first days in Year 7 to their final days as Year 12 students, they have shared countless memories, challenges, achievements, laughs and moments that will stay with them long after they leave the school gates.

A huge congratulations to all 24 graduates of 2026. We are incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and the young adults you have become.
