Years on the tools can build a lot more than experience. ๐งโ๏ธ
For many air conditioning and refrigeration tradies, the skills they use every day have been developed across years of installations, servicing, testing, fault finding, repairs and real jobs.
But being experienced in the trade and holding the relevant qualification are two different things.
If you already have substantial industry experience, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may provide a pathway to have your existing skills, knowledge and experience formally assessed against the requirements of:
UEE32225 Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
RPL is not simply about how long you've been in the industry. It's an evidence-based assessment of what you actually know and what you can competently demonstrate.
Depending on your circumstances, evidence may include your employment history, previous training, workplace documentation, completed jobs, photos or videos of your work, employer or supervisor evidence, and practical demonstrations where required.
If the assessment identifies areas where competency has not yet been demonstrated, additional training or assessment may be required.
So, if you've already spent years building your skills in air conditioning and refrigeration, the question isn't whether you should start assuming what counts.
The first step is finding out what your existing experience may already demonstrate.
