Inspired by a storybook, the children dived into their very own sensory "Little Ocean" today! They had so much fun hunting for marine life and sharing their exciting discoveries with one another.
From spotting big and baby octopuses to finding whales and sharks, the excitement was endless! One child beautifully gathered some shells, holding one up to their ear and quietly reminding their peers to slow down and "hear the sound of the sea." ๐
The fun quickly turned into collaborative play as the children began counting their treasures and loading them onto a small boat, pretending to be fishermen returning with their catch. ๐ถ๐
It was a wonderful day of child-led storytelling, early math, and cooperative learning!

๐ Nature Bubble Exploration! ๐ซง
Today, the children traded traditional bubble wands for a nature-based approach!
They practiced their fine motor skills and scissor safety by cutting small holes into leaves to create their own unique wands.
Next, they helped mix up a "magic bubble mixture" using sugar, water, and dishwashing liquid. By dipping their leaves and adjusting their breath, they discovered that blowing softly made the biggest, longest-lasting bubbles! ๐ฌ๏ธโจ
It was a fantastic day of hands-on learning, science exploration, and growing our vocabulary!

The children at Little Genius had so much fun testing their math skills with our "Missing Numbers" game! They worked together to count aloud, look for missing number cards, and complete the sequence from 1โ10.
Beyond the math, it was a fantastic way for them to practice problem-solving, build confidence, and sharpen those fine motor skills. Way to go, little mathematicians! ๐๐

๐ Busy Little Bees! ๐ฏ
Our little learners dived into a sensory-rich, bee-themed adventure today!
Here is how we explored, created, and learned together:
๐จ Creativity & Motor Skills: Children painted bright yellow and orange "beehives" using honeycomb-shaped cardboard, working hard on their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
๐พ Sensory Exploration: We used dried corn kernels and noodles to fill the honeycomb cells, exploring space, shape, and quantity while practicing patience and concentration.
๐ข Early Math: By counting the sides of a honeycomb cell ("1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6!"), the children discovered that honeycombs are hexagons!
๐ Safety & Nature: Inspired by a childโs excited "Bzzz, bzzz!", we talked about how to stay safe around insects, agreeing that we should look at bees gently and avoid touching them.

๐ Learning About โ000โ! ๐
Today, our little learners explored home safety and the important role of emergency services. ๐
What we did:
โข Practiced "calling 000" using our interactive number board.
โข Discussed how to identify emergencies, like fires or feeling unwell.
โข Learned about trusted community helpers and staying safe. ๐ฎโโ๏ธ
It was a great day of building confidence, communication skills, and safety awareness! ๐

Earth Day! ๐โจ The children explored how to care for our planet through a fun "Earth" science experiment! Using baking soda and colored vinegar, we created bubbling blue oceans and green lands while learning about saving energy and protecting our environment. ๐ฟ๐

Ready, set, match! ๐ข
Today, our little learners jumped into an interactive numeracy matching game that combined movement with math! ๐โโ๏ธ๐จ
The children wore cards with different quantities of dots and had to find the chair with the matching numeral. We started with numbers 1โ5 and leveled up to 7, 8, and 9 as their confidence grew. It was wonderful to see them working together, helping peers find their seats, and problem-solving through those tricky numbers like 8 and 9! ๐คโญ
