Joining in with the Daycare, today we celebrated all things AFL and NRL.
A bit of friendly competition comparing Grand Final wins, game stats and ages of clubs was a great way to use our maths skills.
A bit of footy cooking was in order with some amazing sausage rolls being produced.
Students also earned their whole class reward of the movie The Goat. The movie is a great example of having a dream, never giving up and teamwork. 🐐 It led to some great discussions.

⭐End of Term 3 Assembly⭐

Today we recognised the members of our awesome little team that makes Conargo Public School such a great place to be. Kerry, Debbie and Robyn always go above and beyond to ensure our students have the best of everything. From individual learning, helping students reach their goals and beyond, beautiful breakfasts, well organised camps and the amazing school grounds. Our students have it all. It couldn't happen without them.

Today we also celebrated some amazing achievements in learning among our students. I am so proud of how much growth our students have made over the last term. It is also wonderful to hear positive feedback from other parents, schools and community members about the sportsmanship, encouragement and great manners our students demonstrate.

I'm very proud to be part of such an amazing school. 🤗

Yesterday we had the privilege of having Mrs Colefax and Miss Christine visit us again from Sydney. Students enjoyed showing them our beautiful Billabong Creek and the native vegetation we have planted along its banks. We learnt some great new maths games to build our decimal knowledge. Mrs Colefax does an amazing job supporting each student to achieve their individual goals.

AFA Wanganella & Poll Boonoke Merino Stud's 2026 Ram Sale visit.

While Stage 2 were away at camp today one of our amazing students visited the local Ram sale. We love supporting our students interests and possible career options. Opportunities like this give students valuable knowledge and insights into the agricultural industry. Next week we will look at the sale result figures in maths.
He also enjoyed looking at the famous Boonoke Homestead while he was there. What a great piece of history.

Our final day of our Stage 2 Small Schools Camp. We began the day packing our bags and making our final descent down the stairs to participate in some team building games followed by breakfast. We waved goodbye to the Old Priory and boarded the bus to head to the Eldorado Dredge to explore another way gold was extracted in the region.
A lunch stop at Lake Mulwala gave students the opportunity to test themselves (and the teachers) on some amazing playground equipment.
On the way home there was singing aplently and another playground stop before saying goodbye to our friends.
This camp highlighted the amazing friendly atmosphere and connections our small school group provides for our students. This group got lots of comments about their amazing manners, neatness and behaviour across all three days. They were great representatives of our schools.
A huge thank you to the Old Priory, all of the staff that attended and our amazing bus driver Jamie, who always went above and beyond.

Day 2 of the Stage 2 Small Schools Camp to Beechworth. We started the day with a delicious breakfast at the Priory before heading to the Beechworth Gaol. There we learnt all about prison life in its early years compared to just before its closure in 2004. Ned Kelly and his gang had multiple visits there, as did his mother Ellen.
Next we went to the Burke Museum to learn about life in Beechworth during the 1800’s. It was wonderful to see our students making connections to classroom learning, including geography, geology and the with the animal displays.
Our guide took us to the Telegraph Station to learn about Morse code then showed us around some of the historic buildings of Beechworth. The cell that held Harry Powers was a hit.
With money in hand we headed to the honey shop, ice creamery and the famous lolly shop!!! Students showed some great money management in deciding what treasures to bring home.
The night ended with a delicious dinner of lasagna, Lazy Harry’s Bush Dancing and entertainment, and finally the most epic game of sleeping lions. Who knew our energetic kids could lay still for so long.
Once again, I am so proud of all of the students from Conargo, Bunnaloo, Blighty and Mayrung Public Schools for their beautiful manners and great friendship. Small schools are great schools!!!

Day 1 of our stage 2 excursion to Beechworth with Bunnaloo, Blighty and Mayrung Public Schools. Students had an amazing day. Starting with visiting Ned Kelly's Last Stand at Glenrowan. We then headed to Beechworth to learn about Ned Kelly's and his mother's trials at the court house. We then had a fantastic experience learning all about the importance of bees and making honey at the Honeybee Discovery Tour.
We then settled into our rooms at the Old Priory, had dinner and relaxed with a movie.
