Today we were lucky enough to have Dave from South West Music visit us. Students explored a number of different instruments including how Dave uses a loop pedal with his guitar. They also looked at how music can be altered to create different moods and build intensity. To finish the session they constructed a sound scape about a storm passing over frogs in a billabong. They even had light effects.

Developing a love of Science and being critical thinkers. We love providing our students High Potential and Gifted Education opportunities.

Our amazing students have been examining Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic rocks. They have exploring different tests to gain a deeper understanding of each rock's various properties. This includes using vinegar to test for calcite content, magnets to test for iron-rich minerals and scratch tests to check for hardness. Students also used a digital microscope to closely inspect the visual composition of their specimens.

This knowledge starts their journey into understanding the importance of rocks, minerals and soils. We will then closely examine the importance of soil in agriculture, how it influences what we can produce from it and how we can maintain/improve its quality.

It was great to use the rock kits from last year's Teacher Earth Science Education Program Ltd - TESEP Ltd visit.

⭐PULSE Deniliquin 2026⭐
Wow!! We are so proud of our students. To have all of them participate and attend both shows is an amazing effort. A huge thank you to all of our families for supporting us and enabling this to happen.
To perform in front of such big crowds is a massive achievement and our students rose to the task.
💪A massive shout out to the entire PULSE team. The effort they put in to produce such an amazing experience for all of the students and the community was fantastic. We are so lucky to have this opportunity in our network.

🤗 We have been so lucky to have our virtual APC&I Mrs Colefax and Miss Christine visit us from Sydney again over the last two days. Lots of great learning and fun for everyone.

Today we had an author chat with Lana Johnson who wrote Archie the Amazing Axolotl. Students asked some amazing questions during the session. Lana personally signed a copy of her book for each of our students. Thank you Lara for being so generous. Thanks also to Mrs Colefax for organising this awesome experience. 😀
