Last week, it was lights, camera, and action at Columboola EEC as 22 budding filmmakers from surrounding schools came together to work with Clancy from the Outback Film Club. From acting and directing to filming and editing, students immersed themselves in the creative process and produced some fantastic short films.

With the final edits now complete, we are excited to share their finished productions with our school communities. Everyone had an incredible time, and we look forward to seeing some of these enthusiastic young producers, directors, and actors continue their creative journeys into the future.

Day 3 of our media arts camp is underway. Our amature movie producers spent yesterday working with Clancy from Outback Film Club developing story lines, planning scenes and visiting the Miles Historical Museum to start production. In between takes, the students are enjoying a range of activities designed to increase personal confidence and teamwork.

As term 2 wraps up we would like to thank Toohey Forest EEC for once again allowing us access to the Green Energy Trailer and circuit resources. These have supported the delivery of our Energy Matters program (investigating Energy transformations, electricity, and renewable and non- renewable energy). In the last 6 weeks Columboola staff have covered 5400kms delivering the program to students from 29 different schools. I think it's time for two weeks rest.

Columboola EEC is excited to host another Complex Trauma for Educators and Trauma Focused Adventure Application professional learning opportunity on the 31st of July and 1st if August. Topics covered include distrupted brain development, attachment, Trauma based behaviours, dynamical systems as tools for planning, 3 phase program design, adventure therapy outcomes.
