A light for our world ✨
On Monday, our students, staff and families gathered for our Opening of the School Year Mass. Fr John invited us to reflect on how we can be “a light for others” and also encouraged students to be “salt of the earth” living in ways that share kindness, goodness and hope with those around us. A meaningful, faith-filled way to begin the year together. To wrap up the week, today our Reception to Year 2 students enjoyed their first Move, Learn, Grow session for the year 🙌 This engaging program supports physical development, coordination and confidence, while also strengthening focus, self-regulation and readiness to learn - all through fun, active movement! Wonderful ways to continue growing in faith and learning, while nurturing wellbeing 🌱

And just like that… a new school year begins! 📚✏️ As routines are established and children settle into their new learning spaces, our focus is on meaningful connection - the friendships that grow, the relationships between students and teachers built on trust and care, and the connection to learning that sparks curiosity and confidence. Because when children feel known, valued, and connected, amazing learning follows 💙 Here’s to a year of growing together, cheering each other on, and strengthening the connections that make our school community so special.

Yesterday our youngest learners had a very special visit from emergency services. The police and fire service joined us for an engaging Q&A session, followed by plenty of excitement as the children tried on pieces of uniform and explored the inside of a police van and a fire truck! 🚓🚒
There were lots of curious questions as students learned more about what to do in an emergency, and how our local emergency services work to keep everyone safe.
A big thank you to all emergency services - and especially to the South Australia Police members and Metropolitan Fire Service crew who took time to visit our school and share their important work in such an engaging way. 👮🏼‍♀️👨🏻‍🚒💙❤️

This week our school community came together to celebrate the feast of St Thérèse of Lisieux, honouring her message of kindness through small acts of love 💕 The day began with a beautiful student-led liturgy, followed by market stalls featuring everything from lucky dips and games to fairy bread, pre-loved treasures, bracelets, and a gigantic hamper raffle! 🍭📚 Our students showed wonderful creativity, raising funds for Catherine House - Support for Women Experiencing Homelessness.
An inspiring day of faith, friendship, and giving - living out St Thérèse’s “little way” in action.
