Our school has a culture of caring within the school and the community. Our vision is: Successful, optimistic and efficient learners. Our Mission: Collinsvale Primary will foste

r each student to achieve excellence in an equitable, inclusive learning environment. Our learning opportunities will lead to confident and creative students, who will become active and informed citizens and lifelong learners. Our Values: Collinsvale Primary has the four Cs: Caring for Self, Caring for Others, Caring for the Environment and Caring for the Community. The students are given opportunities to learn and demonstrate these values in a variety of scenarios. Collinsvale Primary has a supportive school environment team which leads the positive behaviour support within the school and the implementation of the Kids Matter Program. Through this, Collinsvale Primary builds its positive school community and develops student’s social and emotional learning, alongside and with parents and carers. The student leaders have a highly active role in both the school and wider community. All members of the school community are on a learning journey which is designed to deepen learning and achieve ongoing improvement. The curriculum teaching and learning framework ensures that all students achieve high levels of learning. A combination of classroom teaching approaches are utilised and there is a high degree of collaboration amongst all staff. Teaching staff have continued professional learning and planning around whole school approaches in science, writing, grammar and punctuation and mathematics. The learning intentions for Collinsvale students include high expectations along with the continued implementation of the Australian Curriculum. To ensure our students are further prepared for the future, ICT is a daily component of the learning cycle. All classrooms and the library are equipped with electronic whiteboards and a variety of electronic devices such as IPads and laptops. Students in Senior Class are progressing towards having an individual electronic device for use during their learning. Launch into Learning is a highly successful program within the school which has a number of sessions operating weekly. It has also been the beneficiary of An Early Years Grant which has seen an expansion of the programs offered such as Baby Massage and the Out and About Program. Through a large group of family volunteers, the school offers programs such as Breakfast Club, Hot Lunch Days weekly, canteen, and fund raising opportunities such as community markets to further enhance the physical environment of the school.
