It has been a busy start to Term 3 at St Joseph’s! 🤩

This week, our students visited the Royal Botanic Gardens to participate in an ‘Art by Nature’ program as part of their Geography topic.

Students identified patterns, colours, textures and forms in plants during a discovery walk, created artworks through nature journaling, explored how landscape architects take inspiration from nature, and created beautiful chalk rubbings. 🎨🖍️

This excursion was a wonderful way to learn about geography while connecting with and being inspired by nature.

This week, as part of Refugee Week, one of our students was awarded a music education scholarship thanks to and SSI - Settlement Services International.

This scholarship will support their educational journey as well as give them the opportunity to persue their dream of playing music. We are very proud of their achievement.

We thank everyone involved for making this possible; Minister Anne Aly, Sarah Witty MP, The Usman Khawaja Foundation and SSI.
