Year 7 Adolescent-Immunisation Program

WA Health’s immunisation team will visit our school on Wed 26th August.

All Year 7 students are eligible to receive free, routine and recommended vaccination for Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and Diphtheria-Tetanus-Pertussis (dTpa) Booster. To make sure your child can receive their vaccination, complete the online consent form – health.wa.gov.au/adolescentconsent or collect & return a paper form from school office.

Please ensure consent is completed/form returned PRIOR to vaccination day.

Lightning Carnival

On Wednesday 19th August, 90 Year 7/8 students travelled to Bunbury to compete against other South West Schools in five different sports in the Lightning Carnival. This year, we took a Boys AFL, Boys and Girls Basketball, Mixed Soccer, Mixed Volleyball and two Girls Netball teams. The day started off wet and windy before clearing up and becoming warm and sunny. All teams were competitive, had fun and represented Collie well.

Congratulations to all year 7/8 students, staff and student helpers involved in making it such an awesome day!

60th Anniversary of Vietnam Veterans Day

The Collie SHS Anzac Tour 2026 was honoured to commemorate this significant occasion on Tuesday, 18th of August, by forming an honour guard for the marching Vietnam Veterans from across the South West, who had gathered in Collie. The local Collie-Cardiff RSL branch were hosting the event.

Kayla Stanley, Tom Whitney and Ashlyn Curteis laid the wreath on behalf of Collie SHS. After the service, students assisted serving a sit-down lunch at the RSL as a thank you to them for all their help and support during the last two years. The lunch was cooked and prepared by a number of Anzac Tour families and friends.

A big thank you to Donna and Andrew Whitney, Tamara Hughes, John and Trish Williamson and Kylie for the cooking and serving, and the families of the students who provided the delicious selection of sweets.

I was personally approached by many veterans who wholeheartedly congratulated the students on their attitude, work ethic and manners. They did our school proud.

Collie Senior High School invites you to participate in the 2026 National School Opinion Survey.

The survey provides an opportunity to share your views about your child’s experiences and the school’s practices, culture and direction. Your feedback will help us recognise our strengths, identify opportunities for improvement and guide planning across Curriculum and Teaching, Conditions for Learning, and Leadership and Management.

The survey should take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous and confidential, and results will only be reported in summary form.
Parents and carers who complete the survey can enter a prize draw to win a fuel voucher.
