Hello all,

I trust you all are wondering why I’m putting a Father’s Day tribute up, but we have just celebrated Father’s Day here in Australia and I remember Dad at that time.

First is Dad and his granddaughter, Hailey. Next, we’ve got a picture of Dad and Tom de Felice (who was like a son to Dad). Dad’s showing Tom how to do VERY BAD THINGS to people.
To round it out, a picture of Dad, Kim and Kevin, along with a friend of theirs.

Happy Father’s Day, Daddy!

Don’t forget:
“Boxing for Street Defense” and “Gung Fu to Grappling” as well as Dad’s ”Interview for the Seattle Years" are available for purchase.
“Gung Fu to Grappling” is a great guide for bouncers and other security personnel, showing holds and control moves while “Boxing for Street Defense” will assist with those less manageable situations and is great for women as well as men.
The Interview is a fascinating look at a time when Bruce Lee was just developing.
The cost of each video is $US70.00. There is a $US10.00 shipping and handling fee for each video. If you buy all three, the shipping and handling is $US15.00. Please note that postage rates change from time to time.
Please message me or email me at [email protected] if you are interested in purchasing any of these videos. Don’t forget to give me your address and to send the correct amount of postage in US dollars. All transactions are through PayPal.
As always, if you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

Kind Regards, Lori

Hi All,
I’ve got some older photographs which I don’t think you have seen before.
First, a group session (I’m over on the far right, seated, and as usual, talking)
Next, Dad and his boys, Kevin and Ted.
Finally, a group picture of a session at Dad’s. If anyone knows who the unidentified student is, please let me know. I don’t think it’s Dennis Hearn.
As Always,

Kind Regards,
Lori

Hi Everyone,
I’ve not posted in a while, apologies.
I am working the Census as field manager, doing support services, working at the local museum and am working prisoner support and restorative justice with Bidi Koorlini Aboriginal Corporation.
I am making medieval and Viking outfits for my pigeon pair of grandchildren 😊.
We’re all attending the local Medieval Faire on 22 August.
I’d like to congratulate Chris Charnos on reaching yet another year of discovery and blessings.
In Honour of my ‘Brother from another Mother’, I dedicate this post to you, Chris.
(PS I couldn’t find any pictures where you and Ted weren’t eating…or getting ready to eat!)
Love to All,
L

Hi All,
Geez, down to 1C in a few days. Lucky that I have two fires. My kitchen fire heats, cooks (it has an oven and a plate warmer as well as the stove) and I will attach the copper pipe for hot water as soon as I can find someone who can do it.
Grandmother Hart (Dad’s Mum) used a wood fire in the early days. I wish I could use this one to cook something for Dad.
Corey L might recall me making corn fritters. Dad said they weren’t as he remembered them, but Corey and I agreed that was what a corn fritter was. Corey and I both grew up in the West, so perhaps they do it differently over East.
So, in the spirit of feasting, I bring you these photos:
So first, we have a photo of Dad’s grandfather, whom he was named after. He is third on the left. Photos like this are why I have often suggested that Grandmother Hart’s family was well off.
Next, we have Ted and a friend enjoying a feed at the duplex. That was the original house both Ted and I came to live in.
Finally, we have CC and Ted doing what they do best—eating!
Anyhow, now I’m hungry, so I’ll chat next time!
All my best,
Lori

Hello everyone. I realised that you may not be able to see the captions on these photos when they are attached, so I will explain what they are.
First, a picture of Dad and me.
Then, a picture of one of the sessions-Barry, Marty, Dad, Tom de Felice, Ted, Pierre Hartmann and Ingolf.
Finally, a picture of Dad and his two daughters, Kim and me on my Nova. That was a great little car. It had coil spring lifters in the back. When Dad drove it, he said it always felt like he was driving a rum running car with no load 😊
Enjoy your day, your family and your workout.

Until next time,
Lori

Hello everyone!
I trust you are all enjoying the spring weather and looking forward to shaking off the cobwebs and getting some training in.
To give you some motivation, I have added a couple pictures of Dad training the group at the Stone Ave. apartment. Notice some are working out, some are having a chat and a couple of guys are searching for information or reading something Dad wrote on the computer.
The last picture is of the duplex, where Dad and I used to live. Ted lived with us a while, too, before moving to WAZZU (Washington State University in Pullman, Washington) to study for his degree.
I hope you all enjoy the photos.
Any comments or questions are welcomed and will be answered either by the group or by me, if at all possible.

Until next time,
Lori

We lost our dear friend and teacher yesterday. Mike Lee made a profound impact on my life in a very short time. Through Johnny I met Mike on the internet . I actually met Mike at Uncle Leroy's while over there in 2024. When I went to Chicago I got very ill and Mike was there every step of the way. What an amazing, selfless man. He will be truly missed and never forgotten. This photo was taken in 2025. The last time the amigos caught up to try one of Chicago's three food groups!
