The Class will generally comprise the follow
activities
Warm-up exercises and calisthenics – The
consequences of effective warm-ups and calisthenics
is to create the type of body and mind that can
perform karate technique and skills. Consider this
when you undertake your warm-ups and calisthenics.
Kihon – Basic Training
Standing workout – is repeating the same technique
from a static position. This requires your body and
mind not to faulter in the face of difficulty.
Overcome the weakness in you!
Line work – is how we combine moving forward and
backward, first with individual techniques, and then
proceeding to multiple combinations of techniques. If
you repeat a technique incorrectly the consequence
will be ingrained. Be diligent and focus properly.

Some things can’t be explained because we don’t yet have the understanding, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. This applies to the special quality that allows some people to achieve great success. If someone has this quality, it must come from somewhere.

The earth, the universe, and all existence are truly mysterious. Despite the vast growth in human knowledge, we have barely scratched the surface of understanding the immense, interconnected reality we live in.

"As soon as you see something, you already start to intellectualize it. As soon as you intellectualize something, it is no longer what you saw." - Shunryu Suzuki-Roshi

With all our potential and possibilities, we often limit ourselves by believing so much is impossible. But is it really impossible?

KARATE STANDS ON THE SIDE OF
JUSTICE
Justice is that which is right. To
bring righteousness to fruition
requires true strength and ability.
Human beings are at their
strongest when they believe they
are right. The strength comes
from the confidence of someone
who knows he or she is expressed
by the saying “when I examine
myself and see that I am in the
right, then whether I am faced by
one thousand or ten thousand
opponents, I must press onward.”
To avoid action when justice is at
stake demonstrates a lack of
courage.
Gichin Funakoshi (1868-1957)
