πŸ’™ THANK YOU FOR THE INCREDIBLE SUPPORT πŸ’™

Our school community has once again shown what can be achieved when people come together for a cause that matters.

Thanks to your generosity and support, Mr Bennett and his team are now just **$3,000 short of their fundraising goal** for Move for MND!

On **20 June**, Mr Bennett and two mates will take on the enormous challenge of running **117km from Cronulla to Manly** in honour of Jeff Jenkins and to raise awareness and funds for those affected by Motor Neurone Disease.

With the big day fast approaching, training and preparations are underway, and the team is ready to give everything they have.

If you'd still like to support this incredible cause, there's time to donate and help them reach their target. And if you're able to, Mr Bennett would love to see members of our community out on the day, cheering the team on as they tackle this remarkable challenge.

🚸 Community Feedback Requested – Traffic & Safety Improvements Around WHPS 🚸

The P&C has been working with Council on a number of traffic and pedestrian safety concerns around WHPS. While these changes can take time, it’s encouraging to see progress being made and Council listening to our community feedback.

Council has now undertaken a review of the intersection at Grevillea Street and Veterans Parade, Wheeler Heights, and is seeking community feedback on a proposal to relocate the existing β€œNo Stopping” sign.

The proposed change is intended to improve safety and make turning easier β€” particularly for larger vehicles turning from Grevillea Street into Veterans Parade. The change would result in the removal of one parking space.

A concept plan has been provided by Council and is available for community review. This plan is indicative only and may be subject to change following consideration of feedback.

Please take a moment to have your say and support safer streets around our school.
Every piece of feedback helps demonstrate the importance of improving safety for our students, families and local residents. πŸ’›

Please respond by selecting I Support or I Do Not Support by 12 June 2026.

πŸ’™ CRONULLA TO MANLY FOR MND – 117KM FOR A GREAT CAUSE

As a school community, we all know Mr Bennett as the kind of teacher who always puts children first β€” guiding them not only to learn, but to grow into good humans.

Now, he’s showing that same selflessness beyond the classroom.

On World MND Day, June 20, Mr Bennett and two mates will run the 117km coastal route from Cronulla to Manly in honour of Alex’s close friend, Jeff Jenkins.

Jeff created this challenge in 2023 to raise awareness for men’s mental health and su***de prevention.

In 2024, Jeff was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

Now, Alex and the team are continuing Jeff’s mission β€” raising awareness, funds and hope for those impacted by MND.

We are incredibly proud to have role models like Alex in our community and encourage anyone who can to support this important cause by:
πŸ’™ Joining part of the run
πŸ’™ Donating to support MND research and care
πŸ’™ Helping raise awareness and conversations around MND

Every step matters. Every conversation matters. Every donation matters.
