We had a great Fathers Day BBQ this morning at Collarenebri Central School. Thankyou to all the dads, uncles, and pops who came in to join the students for a great breakfast, cooked by our Bro Speak students Greg, Trevor, Koby and Charlie. Thanks to those who helped with the cooking including Fiona, Melissa and Boomer. Happy Fathers Day!

Literacy Week in Stage 5!

Stage 5 have been putting their literacy skills into action today as they begin planning their latest English assessment task — creating their very own podcasts!

Working collaboratively, students are choosing topics that interest them, developing ideas and considering how they can communicate effectively to an audience. So far, podcast topics include the impact of social media on teenagers and the ultimate debate: the best NRL players in every position!

It’s great to see literacy extending beyond traditional reading and writing, with students using research, discussion, planning and speaking skills to explore topics they genuinely care about.

We can’t wait to hear the finished podcasts! 🎧✨
